The short version
Lead data you enter into this tool stays on your device, in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server. We do not see your leads, your customers, your spending, or anything else you log here. If you clear your browser data or use a different device, your data is gone, so always export a backup.
What gets stored, and where
The tool uses your browser's localStorage (a small piece of storage every modern browser provides) to remember the leads you have logged. That storage is on your own device. We do not have access to it, and neither does anyone else. Specifically, the tool stores:
- Each lead's date, service type, channel (phone or message or booking), call duration if you entered one, the customer's request text if you entered one, the amount Google charged, the outcome you selected, and (for existing-client leads) whether the customer also called within 15 days.
- One settings record, which just tracks whether you opted in to anonymized aggregate sharing.
That is the entire dataset. There is no signup. There is no account. There is no email collected.
What we do NOT collect
- No homeowner phone numbers or names. We don't ask for them. Don't paste them into the "what the customer wanted" field if you don't want them stored locally.
- No business identity. The tool does not know who you are or what business this is.
- No location, no IP address logging, no analytics on lead data, no cookies that identify you.
- No background uploads of your leads. Ever.
The optional anonymized aggregate sharing
There is one optional feature, defaulted to off. If you turn on the aggregate-sharing checkbox in the tool, the tool may eventually send Blue Grid Media a small payload containing only:
- Counts of leads by service type (e.g. "12 HVAC, 4 plumbing")
- Your overall valid-lead rate as a percentage
- Average dollar amount per lead
- Which of the tool's recommendations were triggered
That is it. The payload will never contain homeowner names, phone numbers, addresses, the text you entered for "what the customer wanted", any individual lead records, your business identity, or any way to trace the data back to a specific contractor or campaign.
Currently, the aggregate-sharing destination is not even wired up. The function exists but does not actually transmit anything yet. If and when it does, the data it sends will match exactly what is described above, and Blue Grid Media will use it only to produce industry benchmarks (e.g. "average HVAC LSA valid-lead rate by quarter") that we may publish.
Cookies and analytics
This tool itself uses no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no cookies. The rest of the bluegridmedia.com website uses standard analytics (Google Analytics via Tag Manager) that may run if you have not blocked them, but that analytics never sees your lead data because your lead data never leaves the page where the tool runs.
How to delete your data
- From the tool: open the Log a lead view, scroll to "Data management", click "Clear all leads".
- From your browser: clear localStorage for this site, or clear browsing data for the date range you used the tool. Method depends on your browser.
- To export before deleting: open the Log a lead view, "Export CSV", save a backup somewhere safe.
Children
This tool is for businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material about how the tool handles data, we will update this page and bump the "last updated" date at the top. The tool will not gain any new data-collecting behavior without a corresponding update here.
