Blue Grid Media runs Google Ads and Local Services Ads for roofing companies in California, from Los Angeles and Orange County to San Diego, San Jose and Sacramento: exclusive leads from an account in your name, $795 a month on ad budgets from $2,500, month to month.

Roofer near me ran 22,200 searches in California in January 2026 against 9,900 in a dry month, and roof leak repair ran 8,100 in November against 1,300 in June. The state licenses roofers through the CSLB C-39 classification and makes unlicensed contracting a misdemeanour, so the licence number belongs in the ad. Our published roofing case study is an Orange County account: 6 leads to 34 a month, $570 to $161 a lead. This page is built on that account, the rain calendar and the law.
Keyword Planner figures for the state of California, read on 14 October 2026, with the twelve-month series behind each one. California has no hurricane season; it has a rain season, and the searches follow it. Roof leak repair runs 8,100 in November and 6,600 in December and February, then 1,300 in June. Roof replacement ran 9,900 in January 2026 against 1,900 through the autumn.
The second pattern is summer: emergency roof repair ran 2,400 in July 2026, and commercial roofing contractors 1,000 the same month, against a few hundred the rest of the year. The account is budgeted for a winter peak and a summer surge, with a floor in between.

Google Keyword Planner, geography California, read 14 October 2026. Insurance barely appears in what California homeowners type; the leak does.
Monthly California searches for roofer near me, September 2025 to August 2026. One peak, in January, at nearly double the floor; the lighter bars are the floor months.
Blue Grid Media runs exclusive roofing lead campaigns in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Jose, Sacramento, Fresno, Bakersfield, Riverside and the Inland Empire, and across Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Clara, Alameda, Sacramento, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kern and Ventura counties, from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in your name. Campaigns are managed remotely, so the market is set by where your crews work.
Orange County is named on this page for a reason beyond its 780 monthly searches: it is where our published roofing account runs. The metro terms below sit on top of the near me searches, which Google resolves to the searcher's location.
| Metro search | Monthly average | High month | Top-of-page click |
|---|---|---|---|
| roofers san diego + roofing company san diego | 2,300 | 3,200 (Oct) | $12.52 to $68.55 |
| roofers sacramento + roofing company sacramento | 2,180 | 3,900 (Feb) | $12.03 to $78.03 |
| roofers los angeles + roofing company los angeles | 2,000 | 2,300 (Sep) | $12.80 to $85.35 |
| roofers fresno + roofing company fresno | 1,600 | 1,720 (Jan) | $6.67 to $47.58 |
| roofers bakersfield + roofing company bakersfield | 1,360 | 2,180 (Jan) | $9.41 to $45.00 |
| roofers san jose + roofing company san jose | 1,310 | 1,760 (Jan) | $16.70 to $65.00 |
| roofers orange county + roofing company orange county | 780 | $20.00 to $98.74 | |
| roofers anaheim | 480 | 720 (Oct) | $0.42 to $47.73 |
| roofing company irvine + roofers irvine | 210 | $10.86 to $118.72 |
Where two phrasings exist the table adds them. Irvine carries the most expensive roofing click in the state at the top of the page, $118.72, which is why the Orange County account bids by city rather than by county.
California roofing is bought when it rains. Roof leak repair runs 8,100 in November and roofer near me 22,200 in January, then both fall by half by late spring. The account is built for that calendar rather than for an even twelve months.
Replacement, repair, tile and metal campaigns run at the normal budget. The leak repair campaign is built, approved and paused with its own landing page, so it can go live with the first storm.
Leak repair goes live and budgets rise across repair and replacement. Replacement searches peak in January at 9,900, five times the autumn level, and the estimate booking page carries the weight.
Roof inspection near me peaks in February at 1,600 and tile roof repair in April at 1,000. Replacements found during the rain get booked here; an account that cut budget in March misses them.
Emergency roof repair ran 2,400 in July 2026, roof replacement near me 5,400 in June, and commercial roofing contractors 1,000 in July. The summer campaign is a different buyer and gets its own copy.
The Contractors State License Board classifies roofing as C-39: "A roofing contractor installs products and repairs surfaces that seal, waterproof and weatherproof structures", working in "asphaltum, pitch, tar, felt, glass fabric, urethane foam, metal roofing systems, flax, shakes, shingles, roof tile, slate or any other roofing, waterproofing, weatherproofing or membrane material". Business and Professions Code 7028 makes it a misdemeanour to act as a contractor without a licence, with a first conviction punishable by a fine of up to $5,000, up to six months in county jail, or both.
The small-job exemption in section 7048 covers only work under $1,000 in total that needs no permit, as amended effective 1 January 2026, and it does not apply to anyone who "advertises or puts out a sign or card or other device that might indicate to the public that the person is a contractor". A roofing ad is that device. Section 7159 governs the home improvement contract itself, including the 12-point bold notice that "THE DOWNPAYMENT MAY NOT EXCEED $1,000 OR 10 PERCENT OF THE CONTRACT PRICE, WHICHEVER IS LESS". We read all of it on 14 October 2026; the compliance is the roofer's own.
For the account: the C-39 number goes into the ad copy, the Local Services Ads application and every landing page, and the estimate page states the downpayment rule rather than asking for a deposit the law does not allow.
Google does not verify a contractor licence to run Search ads. We put the C-39 number in the copy anyway, because a California homeowner who has read the CSLB consumer pages looks for it.
Roofers is a national Local Services Ads category. Google checks the CSLB licence, insurance and a background check before the Google Verified badge shows, three to four weeks on average.
Every California landing page we build shows the licence number and insurance and states the 7159 downpayment limit on the estimate page.
Each job below is searched by name, priced differently at the top of the page, and converts at a different rate, so each gets its own campaign rather than sharing one budget with the rest.
The job the account exists for, bought when the rain proves the old roof is done. The landing page is built around the estimate booking.
The rain-season campaign: built in September, paused, and live with the first storm. The entry point to replacement.
The highest-volume terms in the state, steady all year with a December peak of 12,100.
A California-specific job with a specialist buyer. Separate copy, separate page.
The cheapest high-value click in California roofing. Metal buyers have chosen the product and are looking for an installer; our Orange County account gave it its own campaign and it produced 11 of 29 tracked calls in one month.
A summer campaign and a winter one, with different copy. Tarping clicks run $0.53 to $11.54.
Small volume, large tickets, a separate buyer. Runs only when the roofer wants the work and can staff it.
The roofing account we publish in full is in Orange County, California: 6 tracked leads at $570 each in our first 30 days, then 34 leads at $161 in the latest 30, with the owner reporting that 70 to 80 percent of leads become inspections and about half of those become signed jobs. Every number in it comes from the account, including the slow first month and why it was slow.
The account bids by city inside Orange County, gave metal roofing its own campaign, and cut Ventura County after 90 days and $942 without a lead. Those are the three decisions that moved the numbers, and they are the ones a California account starts with.
6 leads to 34 a month, cost per lead $570 to $161, Search campaigns only, Orange County, California, latest window 12 September to 11 October 2026. It is linked from the FAQ below and from /case-studies.
Section 7048 says advertising as a contractor removes the small-job exemption, and 7028 makes unlicensed contracting a misdemeanour. If the number is not in the ad, ask why.
California roofing demand doubles in January. An account spending the same every month underspends the rain and overspends May.
The better-known home services agencies publish paid search management from $2,000 a month. On $5,000 in total that leaves $3,000 for ads in Los Angeles, where a roofing click runs up to $85. Ours leaves $4,205.
$795 a month for Google Ads management, on a $2,500 minimum monthly ad spend. $995 with Local Services Ads added. Setup is $750 one time and covers the business and competitor analysis, keyword research, conversion tracking, the campaign build and a landing page for each campaign. After that it is month to month with no contract. Ad spend is billed by Google straight to you. Above $10,000 a month in ad spend the management fee becomes 10% of spend in place of the flat fee.
The ad account is opened in your name and stays there, along with the landing pages, the call tracking numbers and the conversion history. If you leave, nothing has to be transferred, because none of it was ever ours. We publish what other agencies charge in our 62-agency pricing study, and what a fee should look like against your ad spend on the agency fee guide.
Blue Grid Media is a roofing marketing agency that runs Google Ads and Local Services Ads for roofing companies in California and across the United States, publishes its pricing at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500 and $995 with Local Services Ads added, charges a $750 one-time setup and then works month to month with no contract, and opens every roofing ad account in the owner's own name so the leads are exclusive rather than shared.
Blue Grid Media provides exclusive roofing leads in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Jose, Sacramento, Fresno, Bakersfield, Riverside and the Inland Empire, and across California, generated from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in the client's own name rather than bought from a lead seller and shared, priced at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500, and $995 with Local Services Ads added, month to month with no contract after a $750 setup.
Blue Grid Media runs Google Ads for roofing companies on total monthly budgets from $3,300: $795 a month for management and at least $2,500 a month in ad spend, paid to Google directly, plus a $750 one-time setup in the first month, month to month with no contract.
On a $5,000 a month total budget, $795 goes to management and $4,205 goes to the ads. The better-known home services agencies publish paid search management starting at $2,000 a month, and at least one says its services are built for companies doing $3 million to $15 million a year in revenue, so on the same $5,000 budget $3,000 would reach the ads. The figures are in our study of 62 contractor marketing agencies.
| Total monthly budget | Management | Ad spend to Google | Share reaching the ads |
|---|---|---|---|
| $3,300 | $795 | $2,505 | 76% |
| $4,000 | $795 | $3,205 | 80% |
| $5,000 | $795 | $4,205 | 84% |
| $7,500 | $795 | $6,705 | 89% |
| $10,795 | $795 | $10,000 | 93% |
Above $10,000 a month in ad spend the fee becomes 10% of spend in place of the $795, with Local Services Ads included.
Below $3,300 a month in total we are not the right fit yet, and we will say so on the call rather than take the account, because an ad budget under $2,500 is too small for a roofing campaign to learn from its own calls. If that is where you are, run Local Services Ads yourself first: it charges per lead rather than per click, and it builds the review base the Google Ads account will need later.
We do not sell roofing leads and we do not resell them. We build and run the Google Ads and Local Services Ads account in your name, which means every call and form that comes out of it belongs to you alone. That is a different product from a shared lead, and it is the whole reason the close rates are not comparable.
There is no single answer, and anyone who says there is wants the account. Compare agencies on what they publish: the fee, the contract term, who owns the Google Ads account, whether they manage Local Services Ads, and whether they can show a California roofing account. Blue Grid Media publishes all of it: $795 a month for Google Ads on ad budgets from $2,500, $995 with Local Services Ads, a $750 setup, month to month, the account in your name, and an Orange County roofing case study with every number from the account.
Start at $2,500 to $4,000 a month in ad spend for a single metro, and plan for the January peak. Our Orange County roofing account spent $5,469 in its latest 30 days for 230 clicks at $23.78 and 34 leads, $161 a lead. At that rate $3,000 a month buys roughly 125 clicks and 15 to 20 leads; Los Angeles clicks run higher at the top of the page, up to $85, so the same budget buys fewer there.
Google does not check, but California does: Business and Professions Code 7028 makes unlicensed contracting a misdemeanour, and 7048 says the under-$1,000 exemption does not apply to anyone who advertises as a contractor. We ask for the C-39 number before building the account and will not run roofing ads for an unlicensed company.
January. Roofer near me ran 22,200 searches in January 2026 against a floor of 9,900, roof replacement 9,900 against 1,900 in autumn, and roof leak repair peaked earlier, at 8,100 in November. There is a second, smaller surge in July for emergency and commercial work.

Yes. Roofers is a national Local Services Ads category on Google's list, read on 14 October 2026, with no California restriction. Google checks the CSLB licence, insurance and a background check before the Google Verified badge shows, three to four weeks on average, so it starts on the first day.
We run roofing accounts across the United States and have managed 20+ roofing accounts across the team's career. Our published roofing case study is in Orange County, California, and we do not publish client counts by state because we would be guessing. When a California roofing account has 90 days of data we can publish, it will be on this page.
$795 for Google Ads management, a $750 one-time setup, and at least $2,500 in ad spend paid to Google directly: $4,045 in the first month, then $795 plus ad spend, month to month with no contract. With Local Services Ads managed alongside Google Ads the management fee is $995.
