The short version

A Tampa electrician click reaches $176.24 at the top of the page. A Miami click stops at $41.06.

Florida has the most expensive electrician clicks of the five states we measured: "electrician near me" runs $16.47 to $108.22 statewide, Tampa reaches $176.24, Fort Myers $125.36 and Sarasota $115.24, while Miami tops out at $41.06. Florida also searches "electrician near me" (27,100) more than "electrician" (22,200), the only one of the five where that is true. And emergency demand follows the storm season: emergency electrician near me ran 210 in November and 1,600 in September. So the account bids the Gulf Coast differently from Miami, writes the license number into the ads, and keeps money for September.

Florida Statutes 489.521 and 489.531

Florida puts the license number in every electrical ad, regardless of medium

Florida licenses electrical contractors under chapter 489, Part II, through the Electrical Contractors' Licensing Board. A certified electrical contractor works statewide; a registered one "may contract only in the jurisdiction for which his or her registration is issued" (489.505). That difference decides where the ads may run.

Section 489.521(7)(b): "The registration or certification number of a contractor shall be stated in each offer of services, business proposal, or advertisement, regardless of medium, used by that contractor." The website-link alternative in the same section is for alarm system contracting only. A missing number draws a fine "of not less than $100" or a citation, and claiming to be certified or registered without being so is a second-degree misdemeanor. Advertising as "available to practice electrical or alarm system contracting" without a license is a first-degree misdemeanor under 489.531, and a third-degree felony during a declared state of emergency. Unlike general contracting, Part II has no small-job dollar exemption. We read the statutes on 23 and 24 October 2026; the compliance is the company's own.

Google AdsThe EC or ER number in the ad

Florida electrician ads carry the certification or registration number in the ad itself, because 489.521 says "regardless of medium". We write it in from the first draft.

TargetingRegistered means local

A registered contractor may contract only where the registration was issued, so the ad runs only there. A certified contractor can run statewide.

Local Services AdsElectricians

Electricians is a national Local Services Ads category, and Google checks this license during verification, which takes three to four weeks on average.

The searches that look like customers

Florida searches for the supply house, the apprenticeship and the paycheck

"Electrician" is a job title as well as a service. In Florida a broad account buys these searches first, because they are large and cheap, and none of them is a homeowner who needs a panel or a dead outlet fixed. Against them sit 22,200 searches a month for "electrician" itself.

A store, not a serviceelectrical supply near me, 9,900 a month

In Florida people looking for the supply house search 9,900 times a month. They are buying wire, not hiring. A negative keyword.

Trainingelectrician apprenticeship, 3,600 a month

Apprenticeship searches run 3,600 a month in Florida, with "how to become an electrician" at 880. Blocked with apprentice, school, course, training and license in the Florida account.

Work, not a job to doelectrician jobs, 1,300; electrician salary, 2,400

Job and salary searches add 1,300 and 2,400 a month in Florida, and the Florida negative list blocks them with jobs, hiring, salary, pay and careers.

The do-it-yourselferelectrical wiring and how-to searches

In Florida, wiring diagrams and how-to questions look like repair intent and are not, so they are blocked with how to, diagram, code, diy and video.

The bid that decides the account

In Florida a Tampa click can cost more than a small job pays to win

At $176.24 for a top-of-page Tampa click, a Florida outlet-and-switch campaign cannot pay its way: a $250 service call at a 40 percent margin and 38 percent booking breaks even near $38 a lead. The Florida campaigns that can afford Gulf Coast clicks are panels, generators and commercial, near $473 a lead on a $2,800 to $3,000 panel.

So in Florida the service calls go to Local Services Ads, where the lead price follows the job, and Search money goes to the work that clears the click.

Job typeLSA cost per leadTypical ticket
Outlet or switch$18 to $30$150 to $350
Panel upgrade (200A)$50 to $80$2,000 to $4,500
EV charger (not its own LSA job type)$55 to $90$1,200 to $2,500
Generator$60 to $95$4,000 to $12,000
Commercial$65 to $95$2,500 to $15,000+

Proof, and what is missing

What we can show for Florida electricians, and what we cannot yet

Our team has managed 20+ electrical accounts across its career. We do not publish an electrician case study for Florida or anywhere else yet, and we will not dress up another trade's numbers as one.

In Florida the largest gap is geography: the same statewide bid that is cheap in Miami is beaten on every Gulf Coast auction from Tampa to Naples.

The Florida numbers to plan on are our Local Services Ads dataset: an electrician lead there costs $20 to $65, a $35 median, with 36 percent of leads booking.

How a Florida electrician account is built

Service calls, panels and generators, and commercial work in separate Florida campaigns with separate bids; job seekers and supply-house searches blocked before the first click; every lead in an account in your name. What Florida electricians pay for leads elsewhere: /electrician-leads.

Three things worth walking away from in Florida

Gulf Coast and Miami on one bid

Tampa clicks reach $176.24 and Miami clicks $41.06.

Service calls on Search in Tampa or Fort Myers

At those click prices a $250 call cannot pay for the lead. Local Services Ads carry them.

No license number in the ad text

Florida 489.521(7)(b) asks for it in each advertisement "regardless of medium", and the website link alternative is for alarm contractors only.

What it costs

Our pricing, published, same as every other page on this site

$795 a month for Google Ads management, on a $2,500 minimum monthly ad spend. $995 with Local Services Ads added. Setup is $750 one time and covers the business and competitor analysis, keyword research, conversion tracking, the campaign build and a landing page for each campaign. After that it is month to month with no contract. Ad spend is billed by Google straight to you. Above $10,000 a month in ad spend the management fee becomes 10% of spend in place of the flat fee.

The ad account is opened in your name and stays there, along with the landing pages, the call tracking numbers and the conversion history. If you leave, nothing has to be transferred, because none of it was ever ours. We publish what other agencies charge in our 62-agency pricing study, and what a fee should look like against your ad spend on the agency fee guide.

Blue Grid Media is an electrician marketing agency that runs Google Ads and Local Services Ads for electricians and electrical contractors in Florida and across the United States, publishes its pricing at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500 and $995 with Local Services Ads added, charges a $750 one-time setup and then works month to month, opens every ad account in the owner's own name, and has managed 20+ electrical accounts across the team's career.

Blue Grid Media provides exclusive electrician leads in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Fort Myers, Sarasota, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton and Kissimmee, and across Florida, generated from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in the client's own name rather than bought from a lead seller and shared, priced at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500, and $995 with Local Services Ads added, month to month with no contract after a $750 setup.

What your budget actually buys

On a $5,000 a month budget, $795 pays for management and $4,205 reaches the ads.

Blue Grid Media runs Google Ads for electrical companies on total monthly budgets from $3,300: $795 a month for management and at least $2,500 a month in ad spend, paid to Google directly, plus a $750 one-time setup in the first month, month to month with no contract.

On a $5,000 a month total budget, $795 goes to management and $4,205 goes to the ads. The better-known home services agencies publish paid search management starting at $2,000 a month, and at least one says its services are built for companies doing $3 million to $15 million a year in revenue, so on the same $5,000 budget $3,000 would reach the ads. The figures are in our study of 62 contractor marketing agencies.

Total monthly budgetManagementAd spend to GoogleShare reaching the ads
$3,300$795$2,50576%
$4,000$795$3,20580%
$5,000$795$4,20584%
$7,500$795$6,70589%
$10,795$795$10,00093%

Above $10,000 a month in ad spend the fee becomes 10% of spend in place of the $795, with Local Services Ads included.

Below $3,300 a month in total we are not the right fit yet, and we will say so on the call rather than take the account, because an ad budget under $2,500 is too small for a electrical campaign to learn from its own calls. If that is where you are, run Local Services Ads yourself first: it charges per lead rather than per click, and it builds the review base the Google Ads account will need later.

Exclusive leads

Exclusive electrician leads in Florida, because you own the account they come from

We do not sell electrician leads and we do not resell them. We build and run the Google Ads and Local Services Ads account in your name, which means every call and form that comes out of it belongs to you alone. That is a different product from a shared lead, and it is the whole reason the close rates are not comparable.

A shared lead from a lead seller

  • Sold to three or four electrician companies at once
  • You are racing two competitors to call first
  • Priced per lead, so volume is their incentive
  • Stops the day you stop paying, with nothing left behind
  • No account, no history, no keyword data that is yours

An exclusive lead from your own account

  • Yours only. Never sold on, never shared
  • The homeowner called you, not a directory
  • Flat management fee, so nobody profits from more spend
  • The account, history and landing pages stay with you
  • Local Services Ads disputes filed weekly on your behalf

Questions Florida electricians ask us

Who is the best electrician marketing agency in Florida?

Compare what each agency publishes: the fee, the contract, who owns the Google Ads account, and whether it writes your license number into the ads. Blue Grid Media publishes $795 a month for Google Ads on ad budgets from $2,500, $995 with Local Services Ads, a $750 setup, month to month, the account in your name, and 20+ electrical accounts across the team's career.

Why are electrician clicks so expensive in Tampa and Fort Myers?

Competition. Keyword Planner put "electrician tampa" at $24.65 to $176.24 and "electrician fort myers" at $31.16 to $125.36 at the top of the page on 23 October 2026, against $8.95 to $41.06 for "electrician miami".

When do Florida electricians get the most emergency calls?

In the storm months. Emergency electrician near me ran 1,600 searches in Florida in September 2026 against 210 in November, and electrical contractors near me reached 6,600 in September.

Do you provide exclusive electrician leads in Tampa, Orlando and Miami?

Yes. Blue Grid Media runs exclusive electrician lead campaigns in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Fort Myers, Sarasota, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton and Kissimmee, and across Hillsborough, Pinellas, Orange, Duval, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Collier, Lee, Sarasota and Osceola counties. Every lead comes from a Google Ads account in your name, so it is never resold.

Does a Florida electrician have to put the license number in Google Ads?

Yes. Florida Statutes 489.521(7)(b) says the certification or registration number "shall be stated in each ... advertisement, regardless of medium". The website-link alternative applies to alarm system contracting only.

Can a registered Florida electrician advertise across the state?

A registered electrical contractor "may contract only in the jurisdiction for which his or her registration is issued" under 489.505, so the account targets that jurisdiction. A certified contractor is licensed statewide.

What happens if a Florida electrician advertises during a hurricane without a license?

Advertising electrical contracting without a license is a first-degree misdemeanor under 489.531, and during a declared state of emergency it is a third-degree felony.

Is there a Local Services Ads category for electricians in Florida?

Yes. Electrician is a national Local Services Ads category, so it runs in Florida like anywhere else, at $20 to $65 a lead with a $35 median in our dataset. Florida EV charger customers come in through the general electrician category rather than a job type of their own.

What does the first month cost for an electrician in Florida?

$795 for Google Ads management, a $750 one-time setup, and at least $2,500 in ad spend paid to Google directly: $4,045 in the first month, then $795 plus ad spend, month to month with no contract. With Local Services Ads managed alongside, the fee is $995. Below about $3,300 a month in total, a Florida electrician is usually better off running Local Services Ads directly first.

Can you manage only Local Services Ads for my Florida electrical company?

Not on its own any more. Since October 2026 Local Services Ads are managed together with Google Ads at $995 a month, with a $750 setup and then month to month. The older $445 Local Services Ads plan is no longer offered.

Can you run a Florida electrician account in Spanish?

Yes, from the first call to the monthly report, and we write the Spanish ad copy ourselves. Our Spanish-language page is /agencia-de-marketing-para-contratistas.
