AC repair is searched 22,200 times a month in New York on average, 49,500 in July and again in September 2026, and 5,400 in February, a nine-to-one swing. In the other direction furnace repair near me runs 6,600 from December to February and boiler repair near me 2,400, a search that barely exists in Florida or Texas. New York has no state HVAC licence; New York City, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk each license the work, and the contract is governed by General Business Law 771. So the account is two accounts in one, cooling and heating, bid by borough and county with the right licence number in each ad.
Keyword Planner figures for the state of New York, read on 14 October 2026, with the twelve-month series behind each one. The cooling season is short and violent: 12,100 in April, 22,200 in May, 49,500 in July, 33,100 in August, 49,500 again in September, then 9,900 in October. The near me phrasing peaks in September at 14,800 against 1,600 in November.
September is the changeover month, and it is the largest month for both halves of the trade at once: ac repair 49,500, furnace repair near me 8,100, heating repair near me 5,400, hvac contractors near me 9,900, boiler repair near me 2,400, all their highest or joint-highest figures. Boiler repair is the New York search: 1,300 a month on average, 2,400 in January, February and September, 480 in July and August.

Google Keyword Planner, geography New York, read 14 October 2026. Duct cleaning near me, 2,900 a month, is a separate trade with no Local Services Ads category and its own page on this site.
Monthly New York searches for ac repair, October 2025 to September 2026. The winter floor, the lighter bars, is 5,400; July and September run at 49,500, nine times the floor.
Blue Grid Media runs exclusive HVAC lead campaigns in New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, and across Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Erie, Monroe and Onondaga counties and the five boroughs, from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in your name. We manage the account remotely, so the territory is wherever your trucks go and wherever your licence is valid.
The city is cheap and upstate is expensive, which is the reverse of what most owners expect. An hvac nyc click runs $2.89 to $18.00 at the top of the page and an ac repair nyc click $6.28 to $24.88; hvac rochester runs $22.11 to $89.76, hvac buffalo to $90.93, hvac westchester to $101.69 and hvac white plains to $92.98. The borough and county are bid separately, and the licence number changes with them.

Keyword Planner groups "new york" and "nyc" into one bucket, so those rows are not added. Furnace repair by city is a winter series: furnace repair syracuse ran 320 in January and 10 in August.
A New York HVAC account is a cooling account for five months and a heating account for four, with September belonging to both. The budget is not flat and the campaigns are not the same ones all year. NOAA puts the Atlantic hurricane season at June 1 to November 30 with its peak on September 10, and the September figures carry the storm week on Long Island and the coast as well as the changeover.
Ac repair 22,200 in May, 27,100 in June, 49,500 in July. Emergency ac repair 4,400 in July, ac installation 8,100, ac maintenance 9,900. Repair, emergency and installation campaigns at full budget, with the borough or county licence number in each ad.
Ac repair 49,500, furnace repair near me 8,100, boiler repair near me 2,400, hvac contractors near me 9,900. The heating campaign goes live on 1 September while the cooling campaign is still at its peak; the budget covers both for the month.
Ac repair falls to 9,900 then 8,100; furnace installation runs 1,600 in October and furnace replacement 1,300 in November. The replacement landing page with financing carries the autumn.
Furnace repair near me 6,600 each month, boiler repair near me 2,400 in January and February, heating repair near me 2,900, commercial hvac 1,600 in January. The emergency heating campaign runs with after-hours copy that matches the hours somebody answers.
New York licenses home improvement contractors locally, and HVAC work on a residence is home improvement. New York City's Department of Consumer and Worker Protection says "a person or business must have a Home Improvement Contractor license to do construction, repair, remodeling, or other home improvement work to any residential land or building in New York City". Westchester County's Consumer Protection Department, in a 24 March 2025 release, says "operating without a home improvement license is a violation of law in Westchester County", that contractors must follow Article XVI of County Law, and that licensed contractors display a green sticker on the rear bumper showing the licence expiry. Nassau and Suffolk run their own home improvement licences through their consumer affairs offices.
The contract is governed statewide. General Business Law 771 says every home improvement contract "shall be evidenced by a writing and shall be signed by all the parties", and must contain the contractor's name, address, telephone number and licence number, the approximate start and completion dates, and a description of the work. And the technician is governed federally: EPA regulations under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, 40 CFR Part 82 Subpart F, "require that technicians who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of equipment that could release refrigerants into the atmosphere must be certified", with Type I, Type II, Type III and Universal certifications that "do not expire". We read all of it on 14 October 2026; the compliance is the contractor's own.
For the account that means one campaign set per licence area, with that area's licence number in the ad copy and on the landing page, because a Queens homeowner checks the DCWP licence and a Scarsdale homeowner checks for the green sticker. A company licensed in Nassau that bids on Queens without the NYC licence is buying calls it cannot legally take.
Google does not verify a contractor licence to run Search ads. We put the borough or county licence number in the copy and geo-target by licence area so the ad matches the licence.
HVAC (heating or air conditioning) is a national Local Services Ads category. Google checks the local licence, insurance and a background check before the Google Verified badge shows, three to four weeks on average.
Every New York landing page we build shows the local licence number and insurance, describes the written contract General Business Law 771 requires, and says the technicians are Section 608 certified.
Each job below is searched by name, priced differently at the top of the page, and converts at a different rate, so each gets its own campaign rather than sharing one budget with the rest. The click figures are Keyword Planner top-of-page bids for New York; what accounts actually pay sits lower, as our benchmark table shows.
The summer account. Same-day copy, the local licence number in the description, and the landing page built around the call.
The highest booking rate in the account. Built in April, live from May, with after-hours copy that matches the hours somebody answers.
The winter account, and the September changeover. Built in August, at full budget from December to February, with cold-snap copy.
The New York job. Steam and hot water systems in the city and the older suburbs; the ad names the system type and the campaign runs October to March.
Bought in early summer. The landing page carries the financing and the brands you are authorised for.
The cheapest clicks in New York HVAC, and the job for the apartment and the older house without ducts. Mini split searches peak in June at 3,600.
The recurring revenue. The ad names the plan price and sells the plan rather than the single visit.
Queens, the Bronx and Long Island carry large Spanish-speaking populations. We write the Spanish ad copy and run the account in Spanish for owners who prefer it.
Three accounts are published in full on this site, every figure from the account itself: a Connecticut waterproofing company, one state over, that had no website in early August and produced 39 leads at $150 in its best 30 days; an Orlando locksmith whose ad spend fell 34 percent while 130 measured leads arrived at $53 each; and an Orange County roofer that moved from 6 leads at $570 to 34 at $161 in a month. Not one of the three is an HVAC company.
For HVAC the figures we publish are the benchmark table on our HVAC page: a $42 median cost per lead on Local Services Ads inside a $25 to $75 range, drawn from a benchmark set of roughly 1,200 HVAC accounts, 38 percent of those leads booked, and Google Ads lead costs of $50 to $130 on repair clicks of $8 to $22 and replacement clicks of $14 to $35. Those are prices accounts paid.
What transfers to a New York HVAC account is the mechanics: calls set as the goal the account bids toward, one campaign per job type and per licence area, the boiler and the replacement in their own campaigns, and any borough that never produces a lead cut from targeting. When a New York HVAC account has 90 days of data we can publish, it will appear here with the same detail.
The Connecticut waterproofing launch is the closest in geography and in season. The HVAC benchmark table is on /hvac-marketing-agency.
An hvac nyc click runs $3 to $18 and a Westchester click to $102. One campaign with one bid spends the city budget on suburban clicks, and puts the wrong licence number in front of the wrong homeowner.
Ac repair falls from 49,500 in September to 5,400 in December, a nine-to-one drop. An account that does not move the budget to the furnace and boiler campaigns in October spends the winter buying clicks that do not exist.
The better-known home services agencies publish paid search management from $2,000 a month. On $5,000 in total that leaves $3,000 for ads in an auction where a Rochester click runs to $90. Ours leaves $4,205.
$795 a month for Google Ads management, on a $2,500 minimum monthly ad spend. $995 with Local Services Ads added. Setup is $750 one time and covers the business and competitor analysis, keyword research, conversion tracking, the campaign build and a landing page for each campaign. After that it is month to month with no contract. Ad spend is billed by Google straight to you. Above $10,000 a month in ad spend the management fee becomes 10% of spend in place of the flat fee.
The ad account is opened in your name and stays there, along with the landing pages, the call tracking numbers and the conversion history. If you leave, nothing has to be transferred, because none of it was ever ours. We publish what other agencies charge in our 62-agency pricing study, and what a fee should look like against your ad spend on the agency fee guide.
Blue Grid Media is an HVAC marketing agency that runs Google Ads and Local Services Ads for HVAC companies in New York and across the United States, publishes its pricing at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500 and $995 with Local Services Ads added, charges a $750 one-time setup and then works month to month with no contract, and opens every HVAC ad account in the owner's own name so the leads are exclusive rather than shared.
Blue Grid Media provides exclusive HVAC leads in New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, and across New York, generated from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in the client's own name rather than bought from a lead seller and shared, priced at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500, and $995 with Local Services Ads added, month to month with no contract after a $750 setup.
Blue Grid Media runs Google Ads for HVAC companies on total monthly budgets from $3,300: $795 a month for management and at least $2,500 a month in ad spend, paid to Google directly, plus a $750 one-time setup in the first month, month to month with no contract.
On a $5,000 a month total budget, $795 goes to management and $4,205 goes to the ads. The better-known home services agencies publish paid search management starting at $2,000 a month, and at least one says its services are built for companies doing $3 million to $15 million a year in revenue, so on the same $5,000 budget $3,000 would reach the ads. The figures are in our study of 62 contractor marketing agencies.
| Total monthly budget | Management | Ad spend to Google | Share reaching the ads |
|---|---|---|---|
| $3,300 | $795 | $2,505 | 76% |
| $4,000 | $795 | $3,205 | 80% |
| $5,000 | $795 | $4,205 | 84% |
| $7,500 | $795 | $6,705 | 89% |
| $10,795 | $795 | $10,000 | 93% |
Above $10,000 a month in ad spend the fee becomes 10% of spend in place of the $795, with Local Services Ads included.
Below $3,300 a month in total we are not the right fit yet, and we will say so on the call rather than take the account, because an ad budget under $2,500 is too small for a HVAC campaign to learn from its own calls. If that is where you are, run Local Services Ads yourself first: it charges per lead rather than per click, and it builds the review base the Google Ads account will need later.
We do not sell HVAC leads and we do not resell them. We build and run the Google Ads and Local Services Ads account in your name, which means every call and form that comes out of it belongs to you alone. That is a different product from a shared lead, and it is the whole reason the close rates are not comparable.
There is no single answer, and anyone who says there is wants the account. Compare agencies on what they publish: the fee, the contract term, who owns the Google Ads account, whether they manage Local Services Ads, and whether they bid Queens and Westchester separately with the right licence in each ad. Blue Grid Media publishes all of it: $795 a month for Google Ads on ad budgets from $2,500, $995 with Local Services Ads, a $750 setup, month to month, the account in your name, a benchmark table for HVAC cost per lead, and the New York data on this page.
Start at $2,500 to $4,000 a month in ad spend for one licence area, double the daily budgets for July and September, and move the money to the heating campaigns from October. New York HVAC clicks run $9 to $63 at the top of the page for repair statewide and from $3 in the city to $102 in Westchester by metro, though our benchmark shows accounts actually paying $8 to $22 a click on repair terms; at $15 to $40 a click, $3,000 a month buys roughly 75 to 200 clicks.
Google does not check, but the work needs one wherever it is done: a Home Improvement Contractor licence from the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection in New York City, a county licence in Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk, and a Section 608 certification for every technician who handles refrigerant, under 40 CFR Part 82. We ask for the licence numbers before building the account, put the right one in each ad, and geo-target by licence area.
Twice, in July and September, at 49,500 searches a month for ac repair against 5,400 in December and February. September is also the peak for furnace repair near me, 8,100, and for boiler repair near me, 2,400, which is why the heating campaign goes live on 1 September while the cooling campaign is still at full budget.
Yes. HVAC (heating or air conditioning) is a national Local Services Ads category on Google's list, read on 14 October 2026, with no New York restriction. Google checks the local licence, insurance and a background check before the Google Verified badge shows, three to four weeks on average. The median HVAC Local Services Ads lead in our benchmark costs $42.
Yes. Blue Grid Media runs exclusive HVAC lead campaigns in New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, and across Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Erie, Monroe and Onondaga counties and the five boroughs, bid by borough and county because the licence changes with them and the click prices differ by five times. Every lead arrives through a Google Ads account in your name, so it is never resold and no other HVAC company sees it.
The benchmark table on our HVAC page gives a $42 median Local Services Ads cost per lead, a $25 to $75 range across roughly 1,200 HVAC accounts, and $50 to $130 per lead on Google Ads. A city account, where clicks are cheapest, should expect the lower half of those ranges; Westchester, Rochester and Buffalo sit at the top because of their click prices.
We run HVAC accounts across the country and the team has managed 20+ HVAC accounts over its career. A New York count would be a guess, so we do not publish one; the nearest published account is a Connecticut waterproofing company. The first New York HVAC account with 90 days of publishable data will be added to this page.
Three numbers: $795 for the month of Google Ads management, $750 once for the setup, and the ad spend itself, at least $2,500, paid to Google. That is $4,045 in month one and $795 plus ad spend after that, with no contract. Managing Local Services Ads alongside raises the fee to $995.
Yes, end to end: the calls, the onboarding, the reports and the ad copy, which we write in Spanish ourselves. The Spanish-language page is /agencia-de-marketing-para-contratistas.
