The short version

Texas searches for AC repair 74,000 times in July, 27,100 in January, and the same click costs $4 in El Paso and $143 in Katy.

AC repair is searched 40,500 times a month in Texas on average, 74,000 in July and August, and 27,100 through the winter, when furnace repair near me takes over at 12,100 in January and February. The state licenses air conditioning and refrigeration contractors through TDLR under Occupations Code chapter 1302, with one licence valid statewide. And the click prices run from $3.76 at the bottom of El Paso to $142.76 at the top of Katy. So the account is built by metro, surges for July, flips to heating for six weeks in winter, and carries the TACL number in every ad.

What Texas homeowners search

AC repair, 40,500 times a month on average and 74,000 in July and August

Keyword Planner figures for the state of Texas, read on 14 October 2026, with the twelve-month series behind each one. The summer peak is the largest single-term HVAC number we have measured in any state: 74,000 searches for ac repair in July 2026 and again in August. The near me phrasing peaks in September at 49,500 and falls to 14,800 in November.

Texas also has a real heating season, which Florida does not. Furnace repair near me ran 12,100 in January and February 2026 against 1,900 in May, and heating repair near me 6,600 in the same months. The replacement signal is autumn: ac installation ran 9,900 in October 2025 against 2,900 in January.

Where in Texas

Exclusive HVAC leads in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and every Texas metro that searches

Blue Grid Media runs exclusive HVAC lead campaigns in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Katy, Frisco, Plano and Corpus Christi, and across Harris, Dallas, Tarrant, Travis, Bexar, Collin, Denton, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Williamson, El Paso and Nueces counties, from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in your name. We manage remotely, so the territory is wherever your trucks go.

The click prices are the story. An ac repair click in El Paso runs $3.76 to $15.80 at the top of the page; the same click in Katy runs $46.30 to $142.76, in San Antonio to $138.90 and in Corpus Christi to $137.63. The same ad budget buys ten times the clicks in El Paso, which is why a Texas HVAC account is bid by metro and never as one state campaign.

Where two phrasings exist the table adds them; Keyword Planner reports them separately. El Paso is the cheapest HVAC auction we have measured in any state, and Katy the most expensive in Texas.

Three seasons

July for the breakdowns, January for the furnaces, October for the replacements

Texas HVAC is bought three times a year, and the account is built for all three rather than for an even twelve months. The Gulf coast adds a fourth: NOAA puts the Atlantic hurricane season at June 1 to November 30 with its peak on September 10, and ac repair near me ran 49,500 in September 2025, its highest month, with hvac contractors near me at 14,800.

May to August: the breakdown peak

Ac repair 49,500 in May and June, 74,000 in July and August. Emergency ac repair 5,400 in July, ac maintenance 18,100, ac not cooling 2,400. Repair and emergency campaigns at full budget, with same-day copy and after-hours copy that matches the hours somebody answers.

September and October: the storm and the replacement

Ac repair near me 49,500 in September. Ac installation 9,900 in October, ac replacement 2,900. The replacement campaign with financing on the landing page carries the quarter.

December to February: heating

Furnace repair near me 12,100 in January and February, heating repair near me 6,600, heat pump installation 2,400 in January. A heating campaign that exists for ten weeks a year, built in November and paused in March.

March and April: the tune-up window

Ac tune up 1,900 and ac maintenance 9,900 in March, before the first hot week. The campaign sells the plan, not the visit, and the ad names the price.

Occupations Code chapter 1302

One TDLR licence, valid statewide, and the law tells the commission to regulate how it is advertised

Texas licenses air conditioning and refrigeration contractors through the Department of Licensing and Regulation under Occupations Code chapter 1302. Section 1302.251 says a person "may not engage in air conditioning and refrigeration contracting unless the person holds an air conditioning and refrigeration contractor license", that the licence "is valid throughout the state", and that a licence holder is not required to hold a municipal licence. Section 1302.253 sets two classes: a Class A licence for equipment "of any size or capacity" and a Class B licence with capacity limits. Section 1302.103 directs the commission to "adopt rules relating to the use, display, and advertisement of a license". We read all three on 14 October 2026; they are linked below, and the compliance is the contractor's own.

HVAC (heating or air conditioning) is a national Google Local Services Ads category, read from Google's list on 14 October 2026, so a licensed Texas contractor can carry the Google Verified badge after Google's licence, insurance and background checks.

For the account that means the TACL number is in the ad copy, on every landing page, in the Local Services Ads application and on the Business Profile, and the ad says Class A or Class B where the job mix makes it matter.

Google AdsThe number in the copy

Google does not verify a contractor licence to run Search ads. The TACL number goes in the description line of every Texas HVAC ad we write, because TDLR regulates how the licence is advertised and because a homeowner who has been burned before looks for it.

Local Services AdsLicence, insurance, background check

Google checks the TDLR licence, general liability insurance and runs a background check before the Google Verified badge shows. Verification takes three to four weeks on average, so it starts on day one.

The landing pageNumber, class, insurance, financing

Every Texas landing page we build shows the TACL number and class, the insurance, and the financing terms on the replacement page.

What gets its own campaign

Eight Texas HVAC jobs, each with its own campaign and landing page

Each job below is searched by name, priced differently at the top of the page, and converts at a different rate, so each gets its own campaign rather than sharing one budget with the rest. The click figures are Keyword Planner top-of-page bids for Texas; what accounts actually pay sits lower, as our benchmark table shows.

AC repair40,500 + 33,100 a month

The account's centre of gravity, with a July peak of 74,000. Same-day copy, the TACL number in the description, and the landing page built around the call.

Emergency AC repair1,900 a month, 5,400 in July, $35.60 to $115.02 a click

The highest booking rate in the account. Built in April, live for the summer, with after-hours copy that matches the hours somebody answers.

AC replacement and installation4,400 + 1,600 a month, 9,900 in October

The large ticket, bought in autumn. The landing page carries the financing, the brands you are authorised for and the SEER figures.

Furnace and heating repair5,400 + 3,600 a month, 12,100 in January

A ten-week campaign that Florida does not have. Built in November, paused in March, with cold-snap copy.

Maintenance and tune-ups8,100 + 1,600 a month, 18,100 in July

The recurring revenue. The ad names the plan price and sells the plan rather than the single visit.

Heat pumps and mini splits1,300 + 1,900 a month, $2.83 to $26.99 a click

The cheapest high-value clicks in Texas HVAC. Mini split searches peak in July at 2,900.

Commercial HVAC1,300 a month, 2,900 in January

Twice the volume Florida has, a different buyer and different copy. Built only for companies that want commercial work.

Spanish-language searchesServed in Spanish end to end

Texas has one of the largest Spanish-speaking populations in the country. We write the Spanish ad copy and run the account in Spanish for owners who prefer it.

What we can show

None of our published case studies is an HVAC account, and we will not invent one. This is what we publish for HVAC.

Three accounts are published in full on this site, every figure taken from the account itself: a Connecticut waterproofing company that had no website in early August and produced 39 leads at $150 in its best 30 days, an Orlando locksmith whose ad spend fell 34 percent while 130 measured leads arrived at $53 each, and an Orange County roofer that moved from 6 leads at $570 to 34 at $161 in a month. Not one of the three is an HVAC company, and we are not going to dress one up as one.

For HVAC specifically, the figures we publish are the benchmark table on our HVAC page: a $42 median cost per lead on Local Services Ads, inside a $25 to $75 range, drawn from a benchmark set of roughly 1,200 HVAC accounts; a 38 percent rate of those leads becoming booked jobs; and Google Ads lead costs of $50 to $130 on repair clicks of $8 to $22 and replacement clicks of $14 to $35. Those are prices accounts paid, so they sit far below the top-of-page bids in the Keyword Planner tables above.

The mechanics in the three case studies transfer to a Texas HVAC account unchanged: one campaign per job type, calls set as the goal the account bids toward, the high-ticket work given its own campaign, and any territory that never produces a lead cut from targeting. When a Texas HVAC account has 90 days of data we can publish, it will appear here with the same detail.

Before you sign anything

Three things worth walking away from in Texas

One Texas campaign bidding El Paso and Katy at the same price

An El Paso click runs $3.76 to $15.80 and a Katy click $46.30 to $142.76. One campaign with one bid spends the El Paso budget on Katy clicks and reports it as a lead cost.

A budget that is flat from January to July

Texas AC repair runs 27,100 in January and 74,000 in July. An account spending the same every month underspends the summer by half and overspends the winter, while the furnace searches it should be buying go to someone else.

A $2,000 management fee on a $5,000 budget

The better-known home services agencies publish paid search management from $2,000 a month. On $5,000 in total that leaves $3,000 for ads in an auction where a San Antonio click runs to $139. Ours leaves $4,205.

What it costs

Our pricing, published, same as every other page on this site

$795 a month for Google Ads management, on a $2,500 minimum monthly ad spend. $995 with Local Services Ads added. Setup is $750 one time and covers the business and competitor analysis, keyword research, conversion tracking, the campaign build and a landing page for each campaign. After that it is month to month with no contract. Ad spend is billed by Google straight to you. Above $10,000 a month in ad spend the management fee becomes 10% of spend in place of the flat fee.

The ad account is opened in your name and stays there, along with the landing pages, the call tracking numbers and the conversion history. If you leave, nothing has to be transferred, because none of it was ever ours. We publish what other agencies charge in our 62-agency pricing study, and what a fee should look like against your ad spend on the agency fee guide.

Blue Grid Media is an HVAC marketing agency that runs Google Ads and Local Services Ads for HVAC companies in Texas and across the United States, publishes its pricing at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500 and $995 with Local Services Ads added, charges a $750 one-time setup and then works month to month with no contract, and opens every HVAC ad account in the owner's own name so the leads are exclusive rather than shared.

Blue Grid Media provides exclusive HVAC leads in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Katy, Frisco, Plano and Corpus Christi, and across Texas, generated from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in the client's own name rather than bought from a lead seller and shared, priced at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500, and $995 with Local Services Ads added, month to month with no contract after a $750 setup.

What your budget actually buys

On a $5,000 a month budget, $795 pays for management and $4,205 reaches the ads.

Blue Grid Media runs Google Ads for HVAC companies on total monthly budgets from $3,300: $795 a month for management and at least $2,500 a month in ad spend, paid to Google directly, plus a $750 one-time setup in the first month, month to month with no contract.

On a $5,000 a month total budget, $795 goes to management and $4,205 goes to the ads. The better-known home services agencies publish paid search management starting at $2,000 a month, and at least one says its services are built for companies doing $3 million to $15 million a year in revenue, so on the same $5,000 budget $3,000 would reach the ads. The figures are in our study of 62 contractor marketing agencies.

Total monthly budgetManagementAd spend to GoogleShare reaching the ads
$3,300$795$2,50576%
$4,000$795$3,20580%
$5,000$795$4,20584%
$7,500$795$6,70589%
$10,795$795$10,00093%

Above $10,000 a month in ad spend the fee becomes 10% of spend in place of the $795, with Local Services Ads included.

Below $3,300 a month in total we are not the right fit yet, and we will say so on the call rather than take the account, because an ad budget under $2,500 is too small for a HVAC campaign to learn from its own calls. If that is where you are, run Local Services Ads yourself first: it charges per lead rather than per click, and it builds the review base the Google Ads account will need later.

Exclusive leads

Exclusive HVAC leads in Texas, because you own the account they come from

We do not sell HVAC leads and we do not resell them. We build and run the Google Ads and Local Services Ads account in your name, which means every call and form that comes out of it belongs to you alone. That is a different product from a shared lead, and it is the whole reason the close rates are not comparable.

A shared lead from a lead seller

  • Sold to three or four HVAC companies at once
  • You are racing two competitors to call first
  • Priced per lead, so volume is their incentive
  • Stops the day you stop paying, with nothing left behind
  • No account, no history, no keyword data that is yours

An exclusive lead from your own account

  • Yours only. Never sold on, never shared
  • The homeowner called you, not a directory
  • Flat management fee, so nobody profits from more spend
  • The account, history and landing pages stay with you
  • Local Services Ads disputes filed weekly on your behalf

Exclusive HVAC leads, by Texas region

Blue Grid Media provides exclusive HVAC leads in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Katy, Frisco, Plano and Corpus Christi, and across Texas, generated from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in the client's own name rather than bought from a lead seller and shared, priced at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500, and $995 with Local Services Ads added, month to month with no contract after a $750 setup.

Austin and San AntonioExclusive HVAC leads in Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, San Antonio, New Braunfels and San Marcos
West Texas and the PanhandleExclusive HVAC leads in El Paso, Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland, Odessa and Abilene
Do you provide exclusive HVAC leads in Houston?
Yes. We run exclusive HVAC lead campaigns in Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands and Pearland, and across the Gulf Coast, with the storm campaign built in May. Because the Google Ads account is in your name, nobody else ever receives those calls.
Do you provide exclusive HVAC leads in Dallas and Fort Worth?
Yes. Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Arlington and Denton, each bid separately because Frisco and Plano clicks run above $110 at the top of the page.
Do you provide exclusive HVAC leads in Austin, San Antonio and El Paso?
Yes. Austin, Round Rock and Cedar Park; San Antonio, New Braunfels and San Marcos; and El Paso, where the cheapest HVAC clicks in the state make a small budget go furthest.
Are your Texas HVAC leads shared with other companies?
No. We are not a lead seller. A shared lead is sold to three or four HVAC companies at once. We build and run the ad account in your name, so every call and form belongs to you alone, and the account, history and landing pages stay with you if we part ways.
Straight answers

Questions Texas HVAC owners ask us

Who is the best HVAC marketing agency in Texas?

There is no single answer, and anyone who says there is wants the account. Compare agencies on what they publish: the fee, the contract term, who owns the Google Ads account, whether they manage Local Services Ads, and whether they bid El Paso and Katy separately. Blue Grid Media publishes all of it: $795 a month for Google Ads on ad budgets from $2,500, $995 with Local Services Ads, a $750 setup, month to month, the account in your name, a benchmark table for HVAC cost per lead, and the Texas data on this page.

How much should an HVAC company in Texas spend on Google Ads?

Start at $2,500 to $4,000 a month in ad spend for a single metro, and plan to double the daily budgets for July and August. Texas HVAC clicks run $23 to $100 at the top of the page for repair and from $4 in El Paso to $143 in Katy by metro, though our benchmark shows accounts actually paying $8 to $22 a click on repair terms; at $15 to $40 a click, $3,000 a month buys roughly 75 to 200 clicks, and the Local Services Ads leads beside them book at 38 percent in our benchmark.

Does a Texas HVAC company need a licence to run Google Ads?

Google does not check, but Texas requires the licence to do the work: Occupations Code 1302.251 says a person may not engage in air conditioning and refrigeration contracting without a TDLR licence, valid statewide, and 1302.103 directs the commission to regulate how the licence is advertised. We ask for the TACL number before building the account, put it in every ad, and will not run HVAC ads for an unlicensed company.

When does HVAC demand peak in Texas?

July and August, at 74,000 searches a month for ac repair against 27,100 from December to February. Ac repair near me peaks in September at 49,500, the storm month on the coast; ac installation peaks in October at 9,900; and furnace repair near me peaks in January and February at 12,100.

Is HVAC eligible for Google Local Services Ads in Texas?

Yes. HVAC (heating or air conditioning) is a national Local Services Ads category on Google's list, read on 14 October 2026, with no Texas restriction. Google checks the TDLR licence, insurance and a background check before the Google Verified badge shows, three to four weeks on average. The median HVAC Local Services Ads lead in our benchmark costs $42.

Do you provide exclusive HVAC leads in Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio?

Yes. Blue Grid Media runs exclusive HVAC lead campaigns in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Katy, Frisco, Plano and Corpus Christi, and across Harris, Dallas, Tarrant, Travis, Bexar, Collin, Denton, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Williamson, El Paso and Nueces counties, bid by metro because the click prices differ by ten times across them. Every lead arrives through a Google Ads account in your name, so it is never resold and no other HVAC company sees it.

What is a good cost per lead for HVAC in Texas?

The benchmark table on our HVAC page gives a $42 median Local Services Ads cost per lead, a $25 to $75 range across roughly 1,200 HVAC accounts, and $50 to $130 per lead on Google Ads. A Houston or San Antonio account should expect the upper half of those ranges in July and an El Paso account the lower half all year.

Do you have HVAC clients in Texas?

We manage HVAC accounts across the country and the team has run 20+ HVAC accounts over its career. A Texas-only count would be a guess, so we do not publish one, and the three case studies we do publish are a waterproofing company, a locksmith and a roofer. The first Texas HVAC account with 90 days of publishable data will be added to this page.

What does the first month cost for a Texas HVAC company?

Three numbers: $795 for the month of Google Ads management, $750 once for the setup, and the ad spend itself, at least $2,500, paid to Google. That is $4,045 in month one and $795 plus ad spend after that, with no contract. Managing Local Services Ads alongside raises the fee to $995.

Can you run a Texas HVAC account in Spanish?

Yes, end to end: the calls, the onboarding, the reports and the ad copy, which we write in Spanish ourselves. The Spanish-language page is /agencia-de-marketing-para-contratistas.
