Plumber is searched 49,500 times a month in New York on average, 90,500 in July and September 2026 and 27,100 in November and December. Frozen pipes ran 4,400 in February and 3,600 in January, boiler repair near me 2,400 in the same months, and sump pump installation 2,400 in March. New York has no state plumbing licence; in the city, permits go only to a Licensed Master Plumber and the Department of Buildings says Administrative Code 28-401.18 requires the licence number "on trucks, business cards and advertisements". And a plumber nyc click runs $8.32 to $39.23 while a plumber buffalo click runs to $129.93. So the account is bid by borough and county, built for the summer peak and the February freeze, and carries the LMP number in every city ad.
Keyword Planner figures for the state of New York, read on 14 October 2026, with the twelve-month series behind each one. New York searches plumber more than plumber near me, 49,500 against 40,500, the reverse of the other four states. The summer peak is July and September at 90,500; the near me phrasing peaks at 60,500 in February and September.
The winter is a different trade. Frozen pipes ran 3,600 in January and 4,400 in February 2026 against 110 in June; boiler repair near me 2,400 in January, February and September against 480 in July and August; water heater repair near me 9,900 in February. And March is the sump pump month, 2,400, the spring melt in the basements.

Google Keyword Planner, geography New York, read 14 October 2026. Plumbing services shows a September spike of 33,100 that looks like a data artefact, so its average is not used. Repipe is 110 a month in New York, a search that is eight times larger in California.
Monthly New York searches for plumber, October 2025 to September 2026. November and December, the lighter bars, are 27,100; July and September are 90,500.
Blue Grid Media runs exclusive plumbing lead campaigns in New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany, and across Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Erie, Monroe, Onondaga and Albany counties and the five boroughs, from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in your name. We manage the account remotely, so the territory is wherever your trucks go and wherever your licence is valid.
The city is cheap and upstate is expensive. Plumber nyc runs $8.32 to $39.23 at the top of the page, plumber brooklyn $9.33 to $39.02 and plumber queens $7.42 to $29.54; plumber buffalo runs $34.78 to $129.93 and plumber rochester $19.43 to $108.45. The borough and the county are bid separately, and the licence number changes with them.

Keyword Planner groups "new york" and "nyc" into one bucket and reports plumber [city] and plumbing [city] together in most metros, so no rows are added. Long Island is searched by town more than by region.
A New York plumbing account runs three campaigns that do not exist in Florida: the frozen pipe, the boiler and the sump pump. The budget moves between them and the summer campaigns rather than being cut, and NOAA's September 10 hurricane peak lands on Long Island and the coast as the September figures show.
Frozen pipes 3,600 then 4,400, boiler repair near me 2,400, water heater repair near me 9,900, 24 hour plumber near me 8,100, emergency plumber nyc 2,900 in January. The emergency campaign with burst-pipe and no-heat copy, and the boiler campaign at full budget.
Sump pump installation 2,400 in March, hydro jetting 880 in April, plumber yonkers 1,600 in March. The basement campaign on the sump and drain terms.
Plumber 90,500, sewer line repair 4,400, drain cleaning near me 12,100, water heater installation near me 12,100, commercial plumbing 880. Every service campaign at full budget.
Plumber 90,500, plumber near me 60,500, emergency plumber near me 18,100, water heater installation near me 18,100, water heater repair near me 12,100, boiler repair near me 2,400 as the heating season starts. The budget covers both halves of the trade for the month.
Plumber 27,100, emergency 1,600, drain cleaning 590. The budget comes down, the boiler campaign stays on, and the freeze campaign is rebuilt for January.
New York has no state plumbing licence; the city and the counties license the work. The New York City Department of Buildings says it "issues Licensed Master Plumber (LMP) licenses to Contractors qualified to perform plumbing, standpipe and sprinkler work", that "permits for plumbing and fire suppression work are only issued to a Licensed Master Plumber or Licensed Master Fire Suppression Contractor", that "only these Licensees, or the employees they supervise, may work on piping systems", that an LMP "must have a place of business in New York City, not a home office", and that "NYC Administrative Code 28-401.18 requires the LMP to include their license number and business information on trucks, business cards and advertisements". The licence takes a written and a practical exam and, since 23 February 2026, is applied for through DOB NOW. We read both Department pages on 14 October 2026; they are linked below, and the compliance is the contractor's own.
Outside the city, home improvement work is licensed by the county. Westchester County's Consumer Protection Department says "operating without a home improvement license is a violation of law in Westchester County" under Article XVI of County Law, and Nassau and Suffolk run their own licences through their consumer affairs offices. The contract is governed statewide by General Business Law 771, which requires a signed writing with the contractor's name, address, telephone number and licence number. Plumbers is a national Google Local Services Ads category, read from Google's list on 14 October 2026, so a licensed New York company can carry the Google Verified badge after Google's licence, insurance and background checks.
For the account that means one campaign set per licence area, with the LMP number in every city ad as 28-401.18 requires and the county licence number in every suburban ad, geo-targeted so the ad matches the licence. A company licensed in Nassau that bids on Queens without an LMP is buying calls it cannot legally take.
Google does not verify a contractor licence to run Search ads, but 28-401.18 requires the LMP number on advertisements. It goes in the description line of every New York City plumbing ad we write, and the county number in every suburban one.
Google checks the local licence, insurance and a background check before the Google Verified badge shows. Verification takes three to four weeks on average, so it starts on day one.
Every New York landing page we build shows the licence number and the city business address, describes the written contract General Business Law 771 requires, and carries the financing on the water heater and boiler pages.
Each job below is searched by name, priced differently at the top of the page, and closes at a different rate, so each gets its own campaign and its own cost per booked job target rather than sharing one budget with the rest.
The highest booking rate in the account. Built for July, September and the February freeze, with after-hours copy that matches the hours somebody answers.
A six-week campaign that Florida does not have. Built in December, live from the first hard freeze, with the emergency number in the headline.
The New York job. Steam and hot water systems in the city and the older suburbs; the ad names the system type and the campaign runs September to March.
The volume job, 70 to 85 percent close in our benchmark. The ad names the price and the campaign runs all year at a $55 to $140 booked-job target.
Repair and replacement get separate campaigns; the replacement landing page carries the financing. Tankless peaks in February at 2,900.
The basement job, cheap to buy and bought in the melt. The campaign runs February to May.
The large ticket in a state where repipe is barely searched. Camera inspection on the landing page and the repair-or-replace decision in the ad.
Queens, the Bronx and Long Island carry large Spanish-speaking populations. Our Florida plumbing account's Spanish campaign ran $79 a lead; we write the Spanish ad copy ourselves.
The plumbing account we publish in full is in Kissimmee, Florida: Search only, one month, 11 September to 10 October 2026, where a Spanish campaign brought 8 leads on $633, $79 a lead, beside an English water heater campaign at $270 a lead and an English repipe campaign at $429. Eight leads is a small sample and the page says so. The nearest full case study in geography is a Connecticut waterproofing company, one state over, that had no website in early August and produced 39 leads at $150 in its best 30 days.
For plumbing we publish cost per booked job rather than cost per lead: $55 to $140 per booked drain or service call at a 70 to 85 percent close, $120 to $345 per booked water heater replacement at 40 to 58 percent, $385 to $1,250 per booked repipe at 18 to 28 percent, $245 to $685 per booked commercial project at 28 to 42 percent, and $35 to $75 per Local Services Ads lead on our cost per lead page. The city's click prices put a New York City account at the bottom of those ranges and Buffalo at the top.
What transfers is the mechanics: calls as the goal the account bids toward, one campaign per job type and per licence area, the boiler and the sewer in their own campaigns, and any borough that never produces a lead cut from targeting. When a New York plumbing account has 90 days of data we can publish, it will appear here.
And the Connecticut waterproofing launch at /case-study-waterproofing-connecticut, the nearest full case study in geography and season.
The Department of Buildings says Administrative Code 28-401.18 requires the licence number on advertisements. An agency that leaves it out of the copy, or runs a Nassau-licensed company's ads into Queens, has not read the page.
A plumber nyc click runs $8 to $39 and a plumber buffalo click to $130. One campaign with one bid spends the city budget on upstate clicks, and puts the wrong licence number in front of the wrong homeowner.
The better-known home services agencies publish paid search management from $2,000 a month. On $5,000 in total that leaves $3,000 for ads in an auction where a Rochester click runs to $108. Ours leaves $4,205.
$795 a month for Google Ads management, on a $2,500 minimum monthly ad spend. $995 with Local Services Ads added. Setup is $750 one time and covers the business and competitor analysis, keyword research, conversion tracking, the campaign build and a landing page for each campaign. After that it is month to month with no contract. Ad spend is billed by Google straight to you. Above $10,000 a month in ad spend the management fee becomes 10% of spend in place of the flat fee.
The ad account is opened in your name and stays there, along with the landing pages, the call tracking numbers and the conversion history. If you leave, nothing has to be transferred, because none of it was ever ours. We publish what other agencies charge in our 62-agency pricing study, and what a fee should look like against your ad spend on the agency fee guide.
Blue Grid Media is a plumbing marketing agency that runs Google Ads and Local Services Ads for plumbing companies in New York and across the United States, publishes its pricing at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500 and $995 with Local Services Ads added, charges a $750 one-time setup and then works month to month with no contract, and opens every plumbing ad account in the owner's own name so the leads are exclusive rather than shared.
Blue Grid Media provides exclusive plumbing leads in New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany, and across New York, generated from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in the client's own name rather than bought from a lead seller and shared, priced at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500, and $995 with Local Services Ads added, month to month with no contract after a $750 setup.
Blue Grid Media runs Google Ads for plumbing companies on total monthly budgets from $3,300: $795 a month for management and at least $2,500 a month in ad spend, paid to Google directly, plus a $750 one-time setup in the first month, month to month with no contract.
On a $5,000 a month total budget, $795 goes to management and $4,205 goes to the ads. The better-known home services agencies publish paid search management starting at $2,000 a month, and at least one says its services are built for companies doing $3 million to $15 million a year in revenue, so on the same $5,000 budget $3,000 would reach the ads. The figures are in our study of 62 contractor marketing agencies.
| Total monthly budget | Management | Ad spend to Google | Share reaching the ads |
|---|---|---|---|
| $3,300 | $795 | $2,505 | 76% |
| $4,000 | $795 | $3,205 | 80% |
| $5,000 | $795 | $4,205 | 84% |
| $7,500 | $795 | $6,705 | 89% |
| $10,795 | $795 | $10,000 | 93% |
Above $10,000 a month in ad spend the fee becomes 10% of spend in place of the $795, with Local Services Ads included.
Below $3,300 a month in total we are not the right fit yet, and we will say so on the call rather than take the account, because an ad budget under $2,500 is too small for a plumbing campaign to learn from its own calls. If that is where you are, run Local Services Ads yourself first: it charges per lead rather than per click, and it builds the review base the Google Ads account will need later.
We do not sell plumbing leads and we do not resell them. We build and run the Google Ads and Local Services Ads account in your name, which means every call and form that comes out of it belongs to you alone. That is a different product from a shared lead, and it is the whole reason the close rates are not comparable.
There is no single answer, and anyone who says there is wants the account. Compare agencies on what they publish: the fee, the contract term, who owns the Google Ads account, whether they manage Local Services Ads, whether they report cost per booked job, and whether they put the LMP number in the city ads. Blue Grid Media publishes all of it: $795 a month for Google Ads on ad budgets from $2,500, $995 with Local Services Ads, a $750 setup, month to month, the account in your name, booked-job benchmarks by job type, and the New York data on this page.
Start at $2,500 to $4,000 a month in ad spend for one licence area, double the daily budgets for July and September, and move the money to the freeze and boiler campaigns in January. New York plumbing clicks run $8 to $53 at the top of the page for plumber statewide and from $7 in Queens to $130 in Buffalo by metro, though what accounts pay sits well below the top of the page; our Florida plumbing account produced leads at $79 to $429 by campaign.
Google does not check, but the work needs one wherever it is done: a Licensed Master Plumber licence from the Department of Buildings in New York City, where Administrative Code 28-401.18 requires the number on advertisements, and a county home improvement licence in Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk. We ask for the licence numbers before building the account, put the right one in each ad, and geo-target by licence area.
July and September, at 90,500 searches a month for plumber against 27,100 in November and December. The winter has its own peaks: frozen pipes 4,400 in February, boiler repair near me 2,400 in January, February and September, water heater repair near me 9,900 in February, and sump pump installation 2,400 in March.
Yes. Plumbers is a national Local Services Ads category on Google's list, read on 14 October 2026, with no New York restriction. Google checks the local licence, insurance and a background check before the Google Verified badge shows, three to four weeks on average. Our Local Services Ads page puts the plumbing lead at $35 to $75.
Yes. Blue Grid Media runs exclusive plumbing lead campaigns in New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany, and across Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Erie, Monroe, Onondaga and Albany counties and the five boroughs, bid by borough and county because the licence changes with them and the click prices differ by four times. Every lead arrives through a Google Ads account in your name, so it is never resold and no other plumbing company sees it.
Cost per booked job is the better number. Our plumbing page publishes $55 to $140 per booked drain or service call, $120 to $345 per booked water heater replacement and $385 to $1,250 per booked repipe, and our Local Services Ads page puts the plumbing lead at $35 to $75. A city account, where clicks are cheapest, should expect the lower half of those ranges; Buffalo and Rochester the top.
We run plumbing accounts across the country and the team has managed 20+ plumbing accounts over its career. The one plumbing account we publish is in Florida and the nearest full case study is in Connecticut. A New York count would be a guess, so we do not publish one.
Three numbers: $795 for the month of Google Ads management, $750 once for the setup, and the ad spend itself, at least $2,500, paid to Google. That is $4,045 in month one and $795 plus ad spend after that, with no contract. Managing Local Services Ads alongside raises the fee to $995.
Yes, end to end: the calls, the onboarding, the reports and the ad copy, which we write in Spanish ourselves; in Florida that campaign ran $79 a lead. The Spanish-language page is /agencia-de-marketing-para-contratistas.
