What Spanish-speaking contractors tell us before we see the account

Owners who call us about Spanish campaigns describe the same four problems. Most of them come from an account that was only ever built in English.

My crew speaks Spanish, half my customers speak Spanish, and my ads are only in English.

Since September 2026 Google matches Search ads by the language of the ad and prioritizes ads that match the language of the search. An account with no Spanish ad has nothing to show the Spanish search.

Plumber near me costs me $40 a click.

Keyword Planner puts plumber near me at $12.04 to $81.91 at the top of the page. Plomero cerca de mi is $5.62 to $33.60. Same job, a fraction of the price, because few of your competitors run Spanish ads.

I ran my ads through a translator and nobody called.

Translated keywords are not what people type, and translated ads read like it. The search terms, the ads and the landing page are written in Spanish by someone who speaks it.

The Spanish calls come in after five and nobody picks up in Spanish.

A Spanish campaign pays only when the phone is answered in Spanish. The ads run in the hours someone can take the call, and not in the hours nobody can.

Google's change

Since September 2026, the language of your ad decides who sees it

Google's help page on language targeting, read on 7 October 2026, says that for Search campaigns 'the campaign-level language targeting setting will be removed' and 'Search ads will automatically match based on the language of your ads.' It adds: 'We prioritize ads that match the user's search term language.'

Google also says it checks 'if the user understands the language of the creative and landing page.' So a Spanish search is matched first to Spanish ads that lead to a Spanish page. A contractor who has both is competing in a smaller auction than the English one, against fewer advertisers.

The settingRemoved for Search

Campaign language targeting no longer decides who sees a Search ad. The ad's own language does.

The prioritySearch language first

Google prioritizes the ad that matches the language the person searched in.

The pageChecked too

Google checks whether the user understands the ad and the landing page. An English page under a Spanish ad works against it.

The price

The same job in Spanish costs a fraction of the English click

Keyword Planner for the United States, read on 7 October 2026, gives a top-of-page bid range for each search. The Spanish search for the same job is cheaper in almost every trade we pulled, often by half or more, because fewer advertisers have Spanish ads.

The honest catch is volume. Plomero cerca de mi is searched about 6,600 times a month against 823,000 for plumber near me. A Spanish campaign is a cheap addition to the English account, not a replacement for it, and it pays most where your market has Spanish-speaking households.

The market

43.4 million people in the US speak Spanish at home

The Census Bureau's 2023 American Community Survey counts 43,369,734 people aged five and over who speak Spanish at home, out of 316,581,199, about 13.7 percent. Many of them search in English as well, and Google's own example describes a bilingual user who may be shown ads in either language. The Spanish campaign is for the share who search in Spanish, and for the call that goes better in Spanish.

We have seen it in our own work. Our Orlando locksmith case study records that 'Spanish-language searches are converting on English ads and an English page', with a Spanish ad group and landing page as the next build. If Spanish searches convert on English ads, a Spanish ad and page are the obvious next step.

What we checked

Where the facts on this page come from

The language matching wording is from Google's help page About language targeting, read on 7 October 2026. Bid ranges and search volumes are from Google Keyword Planner for the United States, read the same day. The 43,369,734 figure is the Census Bureau's 2023 American Community Survey 1-year estimate, table S1601, Language Spoken at Home. The locksmith quote is from our own published case study. Our Spanish-language page covers the same service in Spanish.

What this page does not claim

No Spanish-language cost per lead, conversion rate or result, because none is published in a source we can verify and our case study does not separate Spanish leads yet. No claim that every Spanish speaker searches in Spanish; many search in English.

The account

The eight pieces of a Spanish campaign

A Spanish campaign is not the English account run through a translator. These are the eight pieces we build, and each one exists because a Spanish search behaves differently from an English one.

Spanish search terms, not translated keywords

Plomero cerca de mi, not a translation of plumber near me. Built from what people actually type.

Spanish ads written in Spanish

Written by a Spanish speaker, in the Spanish your customers use, never machine translated.

A Spanish landing page per service

Since September 2026 Google checks whether the user understands the ad and the landing page. The page has to be in Spanish too.

Someone who answers in Spanish

The campaign only pays if the call is answered in Spanish, at the hours the ads run.

Spanish negative keywords

Trabajo, empleo, gratis, como hacer. The same waste as in English, in different words.

Its own budget

Kept apart from the English campaigns so the cheaper Spanish click is not starved by the English one.

Spanish leads measured separately

Calls and forms from the Spanish campaign tracked on their own, so you see what Spanish is worth.

Reviews answered in Spanish

Spanish reviews on your Google profile answered in Spanish, which the next Spanish customer reads first.

Before you sign anything

Four things worth walking away from

Ads run through a translator

Translated keywords miss what people type and translated ads read like it. Ask who writes the Spanish.

A Spanish campaign with an English landing page

Google checks whether the user understands the landing page. A Spanish ad that lands in English works against itself.

Spanish ads with nobody answering in Spanish

The cheaper click is wasted if the call is answered in a language the caller did not choose.

An agency that cannot talk to you in Spanish

If the reports and calls are only in English, the account is being run for someone who is not you.

Local Services Ads beside the Spanish campaigns

Local Services Ads charge per lead and sit above the map pack, and they run beside your Spanish and English search campaigns at $445 a month, or $995 together with Google Ads. Which Local Services Ads category your trade sits in, and what your profile can show, is read from Google's own list for your account on the first call.

What owners search for when they want Spanish-language marketing

These are the terms business owners use when they look for Hispanic or Spanish-language marketing help, from Google Keyword Planner for the United States. It is a small audience, and almost nobody searches for a Spanish Google Ads agency by name.

Straight answers

Questions we get asked

Is there a marketing agency for contractors that speaks Spanish?

Yes. Blue Grid Media runs Google Ads and Local Services Ads for home service contractors across the United States and works with owners in Spanish from the first call to the monthly report, at $445 a month for Local Services Ads, from $695 for Google Ads and $995 for both, month to month, in an account in the owner's name. The same page in Spanish is at /agencia-de-marketing-para-contratistas.

I speak Spanish but my customers mostly speak English. Can you still help?

Yes. The main campaign then runs in English, where your customers are, and everything meant for you, the calls, the reports and the support, is in Spanish. A Spanish campaign is added only where your area has the searches.

Are Spanish Google Ads cheaper than English ones?

Usually, for the same job. Keyword Planner puts plumber near me at $12.04 to $81.91 at the top of the page and plomero cerca de mi at $5.62 to $33.60, and ac repair at $16.09 to $100 against $4.05 to $26.99 for reparacion de aire acondicionado, read on 7 October 2026. The Spanish searches are smaller, so the campaign adds to the English account rather than replacing it.

How does Google decide whether to show a Spanish ad?

Since September 2026 Google removes the campaign-level language setting for Search, matches Search ads by the language of the ad, and prioritizes ads that match the language the person searched in. It also checks whether the user understands the ad and the landing page.

Do I need a Spanish landing page?

Yes, if you run Spanish ads. Google checks whether the user understands the landing page, and a Spanish caller who lands on an English page has a reason to leave.

Can you talk to me in Spanish?

Yes. Julian, who runs Blue Grid Media, works with clients in Spanish from the first call through onboarding, support and the monthly report.

How many people in the US speak Spanish at home?

The Census Bureau's 2023 American Community Survey counts 43,369,734 people aged five and over who speak Spanish at home, about 13.7 percent. Many also search in English.

Is a Spanish campaign worth it in my area?

It depends on your service area. Spanish search volume varies city by city, so we pull the Spanish searches in your market and compare them to the English ones before recommending a budget.

What does it cost?

We charge $445 a month for Local Services Ads management, from $695 for Google Ads and $995 for both. No setup fee, no contract, month to month. Ad spend is billed by Google directly to you and we never take a percentage of it. Campaign landing pages are included.

Who owns the ad account?

You do. We open it in your name and it stays there, along with the landing pages, the call tracking numbers and the conversion history. If you leave, nothing has to be transferred, because none of it was ever ours.

Exclusive leads

Exclusive Spanish-language leads, because you own the account they come from

We do not sell Spanish-language leads and we do not resell them. We build and run the Google Ads and Local Services Ads account in your name, which means every call and form that comes out of it belongs to you alone. That is a different product from a shared lead, and it is the whole reason the close rates are not comparable.

A shared lead from a lead seller

  • Sold to three or four Spanish-language companies at once
  • You are racing two competitors to call first
  • Priced per lead, so volume is their incentive
  • Stops the day you stop paying, with nothing left behind
  • No account, no history, no keyword data that is yours

An exclusive lead from your own account

  • Yours only. Never sold on, never shared
  • The homeowner called you, not a directory
  • Flat management fee, so nobody profits from more spend
  • The account, history and landing pages stay with you
  • Local Services Ads disputes filed weekly on your behalf

Exclusive Spanish-language leads, by market

We provide exclusive Spanish-language leads in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta and Phoenix, and in roughly 50 United States metros in total. Campaigns are managed remotely, so the market is set by where your crews work rather than where we sit.

NortheastExclusive Spanish-language leads in New York, Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Philadelphia, Boston, Newark, Pittsburgh, Hartford, Buffalo
SoutheastExclusive Spanish-language leads in Atlanta, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Nashville, Birmingham, Richmond
MidwestExclusive Spanish-language leads in Chicago, Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Kansas City, St. Louis

WestExclusive Spanish-language leads in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City
Do you provide exclusive Spanish-language leads in New York?
Yes. We run exclusive Spanish-language lead campaigns in New York, including Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens, and in more than 45 other United States metros. The leads are exclusive because they come from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account held in your name, so they are never resold and never shared with another Spanish-language company.
Which cities do you run exclusive Spanish-language lead campaigns in?
We run exclusive Spanish-language lead campaigns in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta and Phoenix, and across roughly 50 metros nationwide. Campaigns are managed remotely, so coverage is set by where your crews actually work rather than where we are based. Smaller and rural markets are covered too, and the auction there is usually cheaper than any major metro.
Are your Spanish-language leads shared with other companies?
No. We are not a lead seller. A shared lead is sold to three or four Spanish-language companies at once, which is why you end up racing competitors to call first. We build and run the ad account in your name instead, so every call and form belongs to you alone, and the account, history and landing pages stay with you if we ever part ways.

Not on the list does not mean not covered. We run Spanish-language accounts nationwide across the United States, including smaller and rural markets where the auction is usually cheaper than any metro above.

Websites and landing pages

A Spanish page for every Spanish ad

A Spanish search that lands on an English page is a click Google itself marks as a poor match. Every Spanish campaign gets a page written in Spanish, with a Spanish booking form and the number that is answered in Spanish.

Fast and mobile first

Most local searches happen on a phone, so the page is built to load fast there. Faster pages convert more of the clicks you have already paid for.

Call and form tracking wired in

Every call and form is connected to tracking from day one, so you can see which ads and which pages actually produce booked work rather than just traffic.

Local SEO and schema

On-page SEO and local schema markup so the site earns map and organic visibility over time instead of only working while the ads are switched on.

$497 one-timeWebsite on its own. Design, copy, mobile, forms and tracking. You own it and the domain.

Landing pages stay free. Campaign landing pages are included with ad management at no design fee, the same as they always have been. The pricing above is for a full website build, which is a separate thing you may or may not need.
