How This List Is Ranked, and What It Does Not Claim

Hiring an agency for locksmith Google Ads is different from hiring one for almost any other trade, because Google restricts the category. In the United States and Canada, locksmith ads cannot run until the business completes Google's Advanced Verification. An agency that does not raise that on day one can build a campaign that never serves.

We cannot see any agency's client results, so we did not pretend to rank them. Instead every agency is scored on five questions a locksmith owner can check on the agency's own website before booking a call:

  1. Is pricing published?
  2. Are contract terms stated?
  3. Does it say who owns the ad account?
  4. Does it offer Local Services Ads management?
  5. Does it address Advanced Verification?

Each yes is one point. Ties are broken by trade focus (locksmith-only first, then home services, then multi-industry), then by published pricing, then alphabetically. Every answer was checked against the agency's own page on September 14, 2026.

Disclosure. Blue Grid Media publishes this comparison, wrote the rubric, and ranks first under it. Read it with that in mind. The standard we hold to is that every price and term below appears on the agency's own site, each card links to the page we checked, and anything a page does not say is recorded as not stated rather than guessed. No agency paid to be included.

The Question Seven of Eight Agencies Never Mention

0 of 7

None of the seven other agencies on this list mentions Advanced Verification on the locksmith page we reviewed.

That matters because Google's policy is blunt: locksmith ads are restricted, and you must apply for Advanced Verification to advertise. Google says the check combines a review of your Google Ads account, public records such as state registrations and professional licenses, and a video interview that is recorded. Google may also ask you to re-verify once every 12 months.

If your verification is incomplete or rejected, keyword research and ad copy do not matter yet. Ask any agency, including us, what your current status is and who owns getting it approved. Our Google Ads for locksmiths playbook covers the verification process and the fake locksmith problem behind it in depth.

The 8 Locksmith Agencies, Scored

Green means the agency's page answers the question. Red means it does not, or says something that does not count as a yes, which the card below explains.

The 8 Agencies, Reviewed

1

Blue Grid Media

Google Ads and Local Services Ads for home service contractors

Best for: locksmith owners who want the fee, the terms and the verification question answered before the sales call.

We publish the full price list on our locksmith page: Local Services Ads at $445 a month, Google Ads from $695 a month, or both for $995 a month. There is no setup fee, custom landing pages are included, and it runs month to month. The account is opened in your name and stays with you if you leave.

The first question on our locksmith intake call is your current Advanced Verification status: approved, in review, rejected or never applied. Across the team's career we have managed 20+ locksmith accounts, and each account manager is capped at 20 active accounts. Our locksmith page also carries a 90-day booked-job guarantee: if cost per booked job is not moving the right way by day 90, we keep managing the account free for another 30 days.

Verified from bluegridmedia.com/locksmith-marketing-agency on September 14, 2026. Score: 5 of 5.
Strengths
  • Full pricing published, flat fees rather than a percentage of spend
  • Month to month, no setup fee, landing pages included
  • Account, tracking and landing pages stay in your name
  • Advanced Verification status checked before any campaign is planned
Limitations
  • We wrote this rubric and rank ourselves first, so weigh that
  • Paid search and LSA only, not a full brand or SEO shop
  • Smaller team than the multi-city agencies below
2

MB Adv

PPC management agency with a published locksmith plan

Best for: locksmiths spending $2,000 to $5,000 a month who want a published price and admin access from day one.

The locksmith page lists two plans: a $397 audit plan, and a Growth Mode management plan at $497 a month for $2,000 to $5,000 of monthly ad spend, covering up to five campaigns. It states the account is set up in your name with full admin access from day one, and its FAQ says you can cancel or pause anytime.

On campaign structure, the page describes separate ad groups for emergency lockout, automotive, residential rekey and commercial access. Two things to know: the same FAQ answers "What kind of businesses do you work with?" with eCommerce and lead gen only, and the reviews it displays are from Fiverr.

Verified from mbadv.agency locksmith PPC page on September 14, 2026. Score: 3 of 5.
Strengths
  • Price published against a clear ad spend band
  • Account in your name with full admin access

Slamdot

Knoxville web and marketing agency building locksmith sites since 2005

Best for: locksmiths who want a website, paid search and Local Services Ads from one long-running team.

The domain locksmithwebsites.com redirects to Slamdot's locksmith page, and Slamdot says it has built websites for locksmith businesses since 2005. It lists paid search, Local Service Ads, SEO and website design, and features locksmith clients such as Lee's Keys.

Terms are stated plainly: 6-month marketing campaigns with the option to opt out if Slamdot is underperforming. Under "You Own Your Accounts" it says you are free to take anything it creates after the initial term. It also says the whole team is based in the USA, mostly in Knoxville, Tennessee, with no outsourcing.

4

Media Spearhead

Jacksonville, Florida Google Premier Partner agency

Best for: smaller locksmiths who want the lowest published management fee and a stated minimum budget.

Its locksmith FAQ quotes a management fee of $300 to $500 a month on top of ad spend, depending on the number of ad groups and the tracking setup, using a $2,400 monthly campaign as the example. The page lists $2,400 as its minimum monthly budget. A separate section says fees start around $400 a month and scale with ad spend, so ask which applies to you.

Terms: no contracts, month to month, pause or stop with 10 days notice. The page shows how it would split a locksmith budget by service: 35 percent emergency lockout, 25 percent automotive, 20 percent residential, 15 percent commercial, 5 percent specialty. It is a Google Premier Partner headquartered in Jacksonville and offers matched ad credit for new Google Ads accounts.

Verified from mediaspearhead.com locksmith Google Ads page on September 14, 2026. Score: 2 of 5.

The site says it works with locksmiths only and lists PPC and Google Ads management alongside SEO and web design. That focus is the reason it is on this list.

None of the five questions in the rubric is answered on the homepage reviewed: no pricing, no contract terms, no ownership statement, no Local Services Ads offer and no mention of Advanced Verification. Expect to ask for all of it directly.

Like the other locksmith-only agency here, it does not publish pricing, contract terms or account ownership, and the page reviewed does not mention Local Services Ads or Advanced Verification.

Verified from thelocksmithagency.com on September 14, 2026. Score: 0 of 5.

Thrive has a dedicated locksmith digital marketing page, has operated since 2005, and lists offices in 25 cities. Pay-per-click sits within a wide service menu, which suits a locksmith company buying several channels at once.

The dollar figures on the page are budget ranges in its contact form, not prices. Contract terms, account ownership, Local Services Ads and Advanced Verification are not addressed on the page reviewed.

What Locksmith Paid Search Costs: Less Data Than You Would Think

You will find confident locksmith cost per lead figures online. We could not trace any of them to a large published dataset. LocaliQ's 2026 search advertising benchmarks do not report locksmiths as a category, and SearchLight's Local Services Ads cost per lead table has no locksmith row, even though some articles cite SearchLight for locksmith numbers.

The nearest category that is actually published is LocaliQ's Home and Home Improvement segment:

Metric, Home and Home Improvement, 2026FigureSource
Average cost per click$8.33LocaliQ
Average click-through rate6.47%LocaliQ
Average conversion rate8.05%LocaliQ
Average cost per lead$90.92LocaliQ

Use it as a rough frame, not a locksmith benchmark. Emergency lockout searches behave very differently from a remodel or a roof. The better number to ask any agency for is cost per booked job from locksmith accounts it actually runs, with the account count behind it.

6 Questions to Ask a Locksmith Agency Before You Sign

  1. What is my Advanced Verification status, and who is responsible for getting it approved? Until it clears, the campaign is a plan, not a lead source.
  2. Will the Google Ads account be opened in my name? Your search term and conversion history is the asset. If the agency holds it, leaving means starting over.
  3. How will you keep emergency lockout, automotive, residential and commercial work apart? They have different ticket sizes and different urgency. One shared budget pays for the cheapest clicks, not the most valuable jobs.
  4. Do you manage Local Services Ads as well, and what verification does each channel need in my account? Get the answer in writing for both.
  5. What does a price in my ads have to disclose? Google's Advanced Verification policy requires any offer promoted in your ads or on your site to describe what it includes and excludes.
  6. Will you report leads or booked jobs? Lead counts flatter an agency. Cost per booked job tells you whether the account works.

Locksmith Google Ads Agency FAQ

How much does a locksmith Google Ads agency cost in 2026?

Three of the eight agencies here publish a price on the page we reviewed. Media Spearhead quotes a $300 to $500 monthly management fee on a $2,400 ad budget, and elsewhere says fees start around $400 and scale with spend. MB Adv charges $497 a month to manage $2,000 to $5,000 of spend. Blue Grid Media charges $445 a month for Local Services Ads and from $695 a month for Google Ads. Ad spend is paid to Google separately in every case.

Do locksmiths need Advanced Verification to run Google Ads?

Yes, in the United States and Canada. Google lists locksmith services as a restricted category and requires Advanced Verification before ads can run. Google says the process combines a review of your Google Ads account, public data such as state registrations and professional licenses, and a recorded video interview, and that it may ask you to re-verify once every 12 months.

Which locksmith marketing agencies mention Advanced Verification?

On the pages we reviewed on September 14, 2026, Blue Grid Media was the only agency of the eight that addresses it. The other seven locksmith pages do not mention it at all, even though no locksmith Search ad can run without it.

Is there reliable cost per lead data for locksmith Google Ads?

Not from the large public benchmark sets. LocaliQ does not report locksmiths as their own category, and SearchLight's Local Services Ads cost per lead table has no locksmith row. The nearest published category is LocaliQ's 2026 Home and Home Improvement figure: $8.33 average cost per click and $90.92 average cost per lead. Treat locksmith-specific numbers as claims unless the sample behind them is described.

Should my locksmith Google Ads account be in my name?

Yes. The account holds your conversion history and search term data, which is what lowers cost per lead over time. Of the eight agencies here, Blue Grid Media and MB Adv state the account is yours, and Slamdot states you can take everything after its initial term. The other five do not say.

Is a locksmith-only agency better than a generalist?

Not automatically. Trade focus is a tie-breaker in this ranking rather than a score, because it cannot be checked before a call. The two locksmith-only agencies here publish none of the five answers in our rubric. Specialist knowledge is valuable, so ask them the six questions on this page and judge the answers.

Sources and Method

Each agency's pricing, terms, ownership language, Local Services Ads offer and Advanced Verification mention were read from the raw page linked on its card, on September 14, 2026. "Not stated" means the page we reviewed does not say it; the agency may answer on a call or on another page. Google policy details come from Google's Local Services restricted businesses policy and Google's Advanced Verification policies. Benchmarks come from LocaliQ's 2026 search advertising benchmarks, and the missing locksmith row was confirmed on SearchLight's Local Services Ads cost per lead page. If an agency on this list changes its page, tell us and we will re-check it.
