The short version

The Knot's 2026 Real Weddings Study puts the average wedding at $34,000 and the average venue at $12,900, with couples engaged for about 14 months. Sound familiar?

What venue owners tell us before we see the account

Venue owners who call us describe the same four problems. Most of them come back to measuring the inquiry instead of the tour.

We get inquiries every week and half of them never answer our reply.

The Knot's vendor site says couples now reach out to six venues before deciding. The venue that answers first, with dates and a price range, gets the tour.

Our directory listing costs more every year and every couple on it gets the same pitch.

A directory puts you on a page with every competitor. A search ad puts you in front of the couple who typed your style of venue in your area.

Saturdays in October are gone and every Friday in February is empty.

Off-peak dates sell with their own price and their own ad. A flat campaign sells only the dates that were going to sell anyway.

We do weddings, birthdays and corporate events, and the ads treat them all the same.

A wedding books a year out and a birthday party books next month. They need separate campaigns, pages and budgets.

The demand

What couples spend, and how far ahead they book

The Knot's 2026 Real Weddings Study reports that the average wedding cost in 2025 was $34,000, with a median of $24,000, 117 guests on average and $292 per guest. 89 percent of couples hired a venue, at an average of $12,900, and the middle half spent between $3,500 and $24,800.

Couples were engaged for an average of 14 months, and 83 percent said the venue was the most important choice they made. So the search for a venue comes early, and it comes first.

The calendar

Venue searches rise after the holidays and again in the autumn

Keyword Planner's monthly figures show wedding venues near me at about 301,000 searches in September, October and January, and about 201,000 in February. Event venues near me peaks at about 74,000 in January. Birthday party venues near me runs from about 74,000 in January to 33,100 in May and June.

Clicks are cheap, mostly $1 to $5 at the top of the page. The cost that matters is the tour, because the tour is where the date gets held.

Winning the tour

When a couple contacts six venues, speed and a price range decide the tour

No published figure tells us how fast your rivals reply, so we do not invent one. What we can say is how the account is built to win the comparison the couple is already making.

A page per event type

Weddings, showers, birthdays and corporate events, each with capacity, a price range and real photos.

Open dates on the page

The couple filters by date before anything else. A date list and a tour form remove the first email.

A tour as the conversion

Tour requests and booked tours imported back against the ad, so the bidding learns what books.

A reply plan before launch

Who answers inquiries, how fast and with what. An ad cannot fix an inbox nobody checks on weekends.

Two calendars

Weddings book a year out. Everything else books next month.

The same hall sells two different products. Treating them as one campaign means the wedding budget runs out on birthday parties, or the birthday searches never get a bid.

Straight answers

Questions we get asked

Is a wedding venue a Google Local Services Ads category?

No. Google's US Local Services Ads list, read on 8 October 2026, has no wedding, event or venue category, so a venue advertises on Google Ads. Anyone offering you venue Local Services Ads has not checked.

How much do couples spend on a venue?

The Knot's 2026 Real Weddings Study reports that 89 percent of couples hired a venue, at an average of $12,900, with the middle half spending $3,500 to $24,800. The average wedding cost $34,000 in 2025, with 117 guests on average.

How far ahead do couples look for a venue?

Early. The Knot reports an average engagement of 14 months, and 83 percent of couples said the venue was the most important choice. Keyword Planner shows wedding venues near me at about 301,000 searches in September, October and January.

How many venues does a couple contact?

The Knot's WeddingPro vendor site says couples now reach out to six venues before making a decision. The venue that replies first with dates and a price range has the best chance at the tour.

What does a venue click cost?

Most venue searches run about $1 to $5 at the top of the page in Keyword Planner, read on 8 October 2026. No published cost per tour exists, so your own account sets that number.

Do you work with a small venue or a barn?

Yes, with no contract. A venue with clear capacity, open dates and a price range is the simplest version of this account.

How much does a wedding venue marketing agency cost?

Blue Grid Media charges from $695 a month for Google Ads management, month to month with no setup fee. The Google Ads fee follows your monthly ad spend: $695 up to $3,000 of ad spend, rising in published steps above that on our Google Ads management page. In our study of 62 contractor marketing agencies, only 22 published a price at all. There is no Local Services Ads fee for a venue, because Google has no venue category.

What should I look for in a wedding venue marketing agency?

A published price, month to month terms, the ad account in your name, separate campaigns for weddings and shorter-notice events, and reports in tours booked rather than inquiries.

Are wedding directories still worth it?

They put you in front of couples browsing, beside every other venue in your area. A search ad reaches the couple who typed your style of venue and your area. Many venues use both; the question is which one books tours at a lower cost on your numbers.

When should a venue switch agencies?

When you cannot see your own account, when the report counts inquiries instead of tours, when weddings and birthdays share a budget, or when a contract stops you leaving.

Is Blue Grid Media a Google Partner?

Yes. Blue Grid Media is a Google Partner. Each account manager handles 20 accounts at most, so your account gets looked at every week rather than once a quarter.

Can we work with you in Spanish?

Yes. Julian, who runs Blue Grid Media, works with clients in Spanish from the first call through onboarding, support and the monthly report, and writes Spanish ad copy himself rather than running it through a translator.

What does it cost?

From $695 a month for Google Ads management, with no setup fee, no contract and month to month terms. Ad spend is billed by Google directly to you and we never take a percentage of it, and campaign landing pages are included. We do not quote a Local Services Ads price for wedding and event venue work, because Google has no wedding and event venue category to manage.

Who owns the ad account?

You do. We open it in your name and it stays there, along with the landing pages, the call tracking numbers and the conversion history. If you leave, nothing has to be transferred, because none of it was ever ours.

Exclusive leads

Exclusive wedding and event venue leads, because you own the account they come from

We do not sell wedding and event venue leads and we do not resell them. We build and run the Google Ads account in your name, which means every call and form that comes out of it belongs to you alone. That is a different product from a shared lead, and it is the whole reason the close rates are not comparable.

A shared lead from a lead seller

  • Sold to three or four venues at once
  • You are racing two competitors to call first
  • Priced per lead, so volume is their incentive
  • Stops the day you stop paying, with nothing left behind
  • No account, no history, no keyword data that is yours

An exclusive lead from your own account

  • Yours only. Never sold on, never shared
  • The couple called you, not a directory
  • Flat management fee, so nobody profits from more spend
  • The account, history and landing pages stay with you
  • Search terms reviewed weekly, and the waste taken out

Exclusive wedding and event venue leads, by market

We provide exclusive wedding and event venue leads in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta and Phoenix, and in roughly 50 United States metros in total. Campaigns are managed remotely, so the market is set by how far couples will travel to a venue rather than where we sit.

WestExclusive wedding and event venue leads in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City
Do you provide exclusive wedding and event venue leads in New York?
Yes. We run exclusive wedding and event venue lead campaigns in New York, including Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens, and in more than 45 other United States metros. The leads are exclusive because they come from a Google Ads account held in your name, so they are never resold and never shared with another venue.
Which cities do you run exclusive wedding and event venue lead campaigns in?
We run exclusive wedding and event venue lead campaigns in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta and Phoenix, and across roughly 50 metros nationwide. Campaigns are managed remotely, so coverage is set by how far couples will travel to a venue rather than where we are based. Smaller and rural markets are covered too, and the auction there is usually cheaper than any major metro.
Are your wedding and event venue leads shared with other companies?
No. We are not a lead seller. A shared lead is sold to three or four venues at once, which is why you end up racing competitors to call first. We build and run the ad account in your name instead, so every call and form belongs to you alone, and the account, history and landing pages stay with you if we ever part ways.
Do you work with venues with several locations?
Yes. For venues with 2 to 9 locations we run one campaign set per location, so locations in the same metro stop bidding against each other, with every account in the owner's name, at $599 a location a month. At 10 locations it is $499 a location and at 20 accounts $350 each, month to month with no setup fee. Our multi-location page shows how the locations are structured.

Not on the list does not mean not covered. We run wedding and event venue accounts nationwide across the United States, including smaller and rural markets where the auction is usually cheaper than any metro above.

Multi-location and franchise

Venues with several locations, or a franchise

Blue Grid Media runs Google Ads for venues with several locations, including franchise groups, with event campaigns per venue, with one campaign set and one landing page per location, every account in the owner's name, at $599 a location a month for 2 to 9 locations, $499 at 10 and $350 an account at 20, month to month.

One ad per auction

Google lists showing more than one ad for your business in a single ad location as a prohibited practice. Locations in the same metro are given markets instead of bidding against each other for the same wedding and event venue search.

A page per location

Each location gets its own landing page, tracking number and service area, so the click lands with the branch that will do the work.

Measured by location

A tracking number per location and booked work imported per location, so the budget moves each month to the locations with capacity and the best cost per booked job.

Franchise territories

For a franchise, location targets are copied from the territory list in the agreement, brand searches run once from the fund, and each lead goes to the owner of the territory it came from.

2 to 9 locations$599per location, per month
10 locations$499per location, per month
20 accounts$350per account, per month

A single location stays on $695 for Google Ads. Across the team's career we have managed franchise groups of 20 to 36 locations and 250+ contractor accounts. The account shapes are on our multi-location page, and franchise systems have their own page.

Websites and landing pages

The page that shows the date, the room and the price per guest

A couple comparing six venues wants open dates, capacity, a price range and real photos before they tour. A page per event type that shows all four, with a tour form, books the visit where the date gets held.

Fast and mobile first

Most local searches happen on a phone, so the page is built to load fast there. Faster pages convert more of the clicks you have already paid for.

Call and form tracking wired in

Every call and form is connected to tracking from day one, so you can see which ads and which pages actually produce booked work rather than just traffic.

Local SEO and schema

On-page SEO and local schema markup so the site earns map and organic visibility over time instead of only working while the ads are switched on.
