Junk removal leads cost $15 to $42 each on Google Local Services Ads, with a $25 median, and around $89 each on Google Search ads in the first nine days of one Florida account we rebuilt, against general jobs that pay $250 to $600. The cheapest junk removal leads are exclusive ones from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account in your own name, because no other hauler gets the same call. The expensive mistake is paying for searches from people looking for the dump, a dumpster or a franchise.
Blue Grid Media is a junk removal marketing agency that generates exclusive junk removal leads from Google Ads and Local Services Ads accounts opened in the owner's own name, in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta and Phoenix and about 50 United States metros, for $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500, a $750 one-time setup, and month to month with no contract. It does not sell leads and does not share them with other haulers.
From one of our junk removal accounts: 11 leads at $89 in nine days
A family-run junk removal company in the Bradenton and Sarasota area of Florida. Its own Search campaigns were spending about three quarters of their search-term budget on people looking for the dump. After the rebuild, the first nine days produced 11 leads on $980: six forms, four callers from the ad and one website call, against a $165 minimum job. It is an early number, and the case study says so.
What junk removal leads cost, by channel
Junk removal has some of the cheapest leads in home services. That is the good news and the trap at the same time: when every lead looks cheap, it is easy to stop asking which ones turn into a loaded truck.
| Channel | Cost | Exclusive? | Who keeps the data | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Local Services Ads | $15 to $42 per lead, $25 median, 42% booking rate | Yes, the customer calls you | You | Same-day pickups from people who want a vetted hauler now |
| Google Ads (Search) | About $89 per lead in the first 9 days of one Florida account | Yes, if the account is in your name | You | Cleanouts, furniture and appliance pickup, trash outs, and volume beyond what LSA can deliver |
| Angi, HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack | Set by the platform; we have no junk-specific figure | No, shared with other haulers | The platform | Filling a slow week |
| Lead sellers and pay-per-call | Set by the seller | Only if written into the contract | The seller | Short-term volume while your own channels are built |
| Realtors, property managers, estate attorneys | Your time | Yes | You | Cleanouts and trash outs that repeat every time a unit turns over |
Local Services Ads sit at the top for a reason. In our dataset a junk removal lead costs a $25 median and 42% of them book, which works out to about $60 of ad spend per booked job against a $250 to $600 ticket. Search ads cost more per lead, but they reach the searches Local Services Ads cannot be steered toward, such as cleanouts, trash outs and specific items, and they keep producing when your Local Services Ads budget is spent for the day.
Why junk removal leads look cheap and still waste money
The words customers use to hire a hauler are the same words other people use to find somewhere to take their own junk. "Junk", "disposal", "trash" and "haul away" all pull in four kinds of search that will never book:
- The dump and the county. Landfill hours, transfer stations, bulk trash day, county pickup. In the Florida account above, about three quarters of the old search-term spend went here, and one phrase keyword, "disposal services", spent $629 on 123 clicks by itself.
- Dumpster rental. A different buyer who wants to load it themselves. In one county pull we ran for a Pennsylvania prospect, dumpster rental searches added up to about 2,480 a month, more than many junk removal terms.
- Franchise names. People who already chose a national brand. The same Pennsylvania pull had about 2,400 a month of franchise brand searches.
- Donation and scrap. Free pickup for furniture, and people selling scrap metal.
None of these show up as a problem in a cost per click report. They show up as a phone that does not ring. The fix is a negative keyword list built before the first click, not after the first month.
Exclusive vs shared junk removal leads
A shared lead goes to you and to other haulers at the same moment, and the job usually goes to whoever calls back first or quotes lowest. An exclusive lead goes to one company. When the Google Ads or Local Services Ads account is in your name, every lead is exclusive by construction: nobody else is paying for that click, and the call history stays with you if you ever change agencies.
Blue Grid Media provides exclusive junk removal leads in Tampa, Sarasota, Orlando, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Phoenix and Philadelphia, generated from a Google Ads account held in the owner's own name rather than bought from a lead seller and shared, priced at $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500, and $995 with Local Services Ads added, month to month with no contract after a $750 setup.
Seven questions to ask anyone selling junk removal leads
- Is the lead exclusive to me, and is that written in the contract?
- Where does the lead come from: a search ad, a directory, a form on a lead site, or a call center?
- Do I pay for a lead from outside my service area, or for a dumpster or donation request?
- What happens to a bad lead: is there a credit process, and how fast?
- What does a booked job cost on your leads, not just a lead?
- If I stop, do I keep the phone numbers, the reviews and the call history?
- Is there a contract term, and what does it cost to leave?
Where the bigger junk removal jobs are
Single-item pickups keep the trucks moving. The money is in jobs that fill the truck or repeat. These are the customer searches for them in the United States, from Keyword Planner:
| What the customer searches | Monthly searches (US) | Typical job |
|---|---|---|
| construction debris removal | 4,400 | $400 to $1,200 |
| estate cleanout services / estate cleanout | 3,600 / 2,400 | $800 to $3,000+ |
| commercial junk removal | 3,600 | Varies, often recurring |
| hoarder cleanup | 1,900 | $1,500 to $5,000+ |
| foreclosure cleanout | 1,300 | Repeats with the property manager or bank |
| apartment cleanout | 720 | Repeats with every move-out |
| eviction cleanout | 390 | Repeats with the property manager |
Each of these deserves its own ad group and its own landing page, because the person searching for an estate cleanout wants to hear about sorting, donation and a walkthrough, not about a couch pickup. Property managers are the best of them: one trash out done well turns into the next unit, and the next.

How much do junk removal leads cost?
Junk removal leads cost $15 to $42 each on Google Local Services Ads, with a $25 median, and around $89 each on Google Search ads in the first nine days of one Florida account we rebuilt, against general jobs that pay $250 to $600. The cheapest junk removal leads are exclusive ones from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account in your own name, because no other hauler gets the same call. The expensive mistake is paying for searches from people looking for the dump, a dumpster or a franchise.
Where can I get exclusive junk removal leads?
From a seller who puts exclusivity in the contract, or from a Google Ads and Local Services Ads account in your own name, where every lead is exclusive by construction. Blue Grid Media runs that account for junk removal companies in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta and Phoenix and about 50 US metros, for $795 a month for Google Ads management on ad budgets from $2,500, a $750 one-time setup, and month to month with no contract.
How do I get more junk removal jobs?
Turn on Local Services Ads first, since leads cost $15 to $42 there. Then run Search ads on hire searches with a negative list that blocks the dump, dumpster rental, donation and franchise names, and give cleanouts and trash outs their own ad groups and pages. Outside ads, call property managers and realtors: their trash outs and cleanouts repeat.
Is junk removal easy to get leads for?
Cheap per lead, yes. In one Florida account we rebuilt, Search ads produced 11 leads at $89 in nine days. The catch is that many junk searches are from people looking for the dump or county pickup, and an account without negatives can spend most of its budget on them.
Are Angi and Thumbtack junk removal leads worth it?
They can fill a slow week, but the lead is shared with other haulers, so the job goes to whoever calls first or quotes lowest. Leads from an account in your own name are never shared.
Should I buy junk removal leads or run my own Google Ads?
Buy leads only while your own channels are being built. Over a year, leads from an account in your name cost less per booked job, are never shared, and the call history stays with you.
How much should a junk removal company spend on Google Ads?
At least $2,500 a month in ad spend to start with us, plus $795 for management. Many single-truck operators are better served by Local Services Ads alone until they can staff more jobs.
What is a good cost per lead for junk removal?
Below what a booked job pays you after disposal and labour. On our LSA numbers, a $25 median lead and a 42% booking rate is about $60 of ad spend per booked job against a $250 to $600 ticket.
Does Blue Grid Media sell junk removal leads?
No. Blue Grid Media runs the Google Ads and Local Services Ads account in the owner's own name, so the leads are exclusive and never sold to anyone else.
What does Blue Grid Media charge junk removal companies?

Do you get junk removal companies exclusive leads in Florida and Texas?
