As of April 24, 2026, the median Google Local Services Ads cost per lead across 12 home service trades sits at roughly $45, with seasonal trades pushing the top of the range. Roofing leads the increase at $58 to $120 per lead, up about 12% month-over-month on storm-season demand. HVAC CPL is climbing into early-summer territory at $42 to $75, up roughly 5%. Plumbing, tree service, garage door, and locksmith are flat. Landscaping and pest control are tracking the spring surge. The full live table, methodology, and historical snapshots follow.
April brings the first big seasonal divergence of 2026. Heat-wave demand started early in the South and Mid-Atlantic, dragging HVAC CPL up across most metros. Storm season is already pricing roofing leads at peak. Flat trades are the ones not yet feeling the season, expect tree service to spike when the first wave of summer storms hits and water damage to follow.

The tracker pulls from 80+ active contractor accounts across 38 U.S. metros in our agency portfolio, supplemented with publicly published benchmarks from LocalIQ, BIA Advisory Services, and Google's own Local Services Ads reporting. We isolate spend on the LSA channel only (no Search Ads or Performance Max overlap) and report CPL as billable cost divided by all credited leads, not unbookable-adjusted CPL. The reported range covers the 25th to 75th percentile across markets, so a single high-cost metro does not skew the headline.
Refresh cadence: The full table is rebuilt on the 24th of each month using the prior 30 days of account data. Refresh date stamps: The visible "Last verified" badge in the header and the date in the table card are updated together with the JSON-LD dateModified field. Quality controls: We flag any trade where MoM movement exceeds 25% and review for outliers (storm spikes, single-account anomalies) before publishing. Geographic scope: United States only. Canadian LSA data is tracked separately and not included in this snapshot.
